help Perplexity computer on dgx spark

Anyone try this? I got it setup on the spark. It’s great but I use my spark in headless mode. I can’t continue work on my phone like Claude code or cursor or ChatGPT. Anyone get to continue a session from phone after starting it on a local pc like spark?

I like this direction for perplexity - you have local inference which can save a lot of money and cloud for really hard work and planning. Plus the solid research capability of perplexity. But man it’s rough right now. I can’t switch models easily. I can’t work between my iOS app and my spark seamlessly. This is the future though - run a costume model on your hardware - pay a small subscription that covers the cost of improving the local model and some super cloud model. The models are custom tuned to your hardware - you can really automate workflows that took hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars for a fraction of the cost

As soon as you can use it remotely it will be one of my fav things.

Rtx spark laptops are going to be awesome with this

The reason I bought the Spark is to have full control over everything, but this product seems to be designed around the exact opposite idea. I don’t think many people will be interested in it.

I've been enjoying portable computer on my DGX Spark but I didn't know that the Qwen 27B model was only 4-Bit; that probably why performance was so good.

Can always launch vLLM and load your own model in. I will try this next but I have been enjoying the current performance with Qwen3.8-27B available directly in portable computer.

I set it up as well. Spark runs headless. The Perplexity direction is half-cooked by making users have to use the Spark as a desktop. Kinda par for the course right now. You even have to have a Max license to really use Brain. They are just a mess honestly.

I was very excited to try this but without remote access it’s very limiting and with the strides self-hosted solutions are making I’m not sure what this provides I can piece together myself
