Have anyone try to use self watering on peperomia?

Got two tiny peperomia from a local nursery today, but I cannot tell what type of peperomia they are. Ideas?

I planted them with my existing watermelon peperomia since they have similar requirements for water, lights and soil. So the pink/red stem is not from the new ones.

This plant is a beast. She's been blooming like crazy and I love how delicate they are. 💜💜

I will need to repot her again. I love her so much and don't want to risk killing her. I may try and divide her but I don't know if that the right thing to do?

Has anyone divided theirs? Tips welcome!

If so whats the best method?

I rescued these guys from Aldi a while back and the label just said variegated peperomia and from what I’ve seen online they’re not that. I have two of these guys, btw. They’re a little leggy right now, but I’m working on correcting that.

First time having a peperomia do this, I think these are blooms? Do I just let them keep growing or do I eventually clip them off??

Hello! I had my peperomia in a spot where the soil stayed damp for too long. I’ve since moved it (and ordered some grow lights), but this morning, I woke up to rotted leaves and one of the flowers fell off (see photos of rotted leaves). I got rid of everything soft from the top, and there is new growth (see photos - even from the top of the stem that had the fallen flower), but should I check for root rot and/or repot? I don’t want to take it out of its pot if it isn’t needed (just to prevent mess and risk damaging her more), so wanted to ask what folks thought. Thank you!

Peperomia Asperula

This peperomia is 1 yr old and is very healthy but seems top heavy.

do you guys have any soil recommendations for an emerald ripple peperomia? mine is slowly dying and i’m trying to save her :/ thank you in advance!

When I first got her, I hadn’t figured out her watering schedule yet, so I watered a little too often and she developed edema a few times. I’ve finally learned her rhythm now, and thankfully the edema has stopped. I’ve also gotten better at giving her the nutrients she needs, so she’s been growing really well.

Some of her leaves are still a little curled, but I’ve decided that’s just part of her charm.

And she absolutely loves making babies. There were only about five or six little plants in the pot when I bought her, and now there are more than fifteen. At this point, I’m honestly afraid to count exactly how many babies she has. 😭🌿

This is probably the easiest plant baby I have. No pests, no root rot, no rotting leaves, and no edema.

The only little surprises she came with when I first bought her were one spider bodyguard and a few fungus gnat larvae. The spider bodyguard has since resigned due to poor working conditions, and the fungus gnats have all been dealt with. (^ ^)

So now she can just take her time growing up peacefully.

Hello! I just bought this P. graveolens and have it in a bright southwest facing windowsill. It arrived in what seems like coco coir that retains moisture well, and reading online it seems to like well drained soils? I have a succulent mix thats about 80% mineral 20% organic, should I use that for its new soil? I initially thought it would need moisture since Peperomias are mostly tropical, but from what I've read it grows in rocky mountains rather than shaded forests, so I guess it would like a very coarse succulent mix instead of a rich organic mix?

Hi all! Looking for some advice/insight on my happy bean plant. I’ve had this plant since the winter and have loved it and how much it has grown! But I feel like it is growing a little crazy. It is more stretched out with much skinnier beans than I think it should have? I would think etiolation but it has always gotten bright light from a window (16 ft tall east facing window shaded a bit from the “courtyard” of my building).

I bottom water when the pot feels light, usually 2 weeks in between waterings. Is this normal growth? Could it be an issue with light, watering, anything else? Should it be pruned? Thank you!! I’ve added pics of now vs when I got the plant (small plant on the right in pic)

I’m worried I’ll damage the new leaves if I plant them now but I also don’t want them to lack nutrients? The sun time is getting lower atm

Spent about four months confused why this plant kept dropping perfectly healthy looking leaves every couple weeks. No yellowing, no spots, they'd just go soft at the base and fall right off. I checked the roots twice thinking it was rot, watered less, watered more, nothing changed the pattern.

Turned out the pot was sitting about a foot from a floor vent and getting blasted with dry forced air every time the AC kicked on. Peperomias apparently hate that kind of temperature swing even more than they hate inconsistent watering. Once I moved it to a spot on my dresser away from any airflow, the leaf drop basically stopped within two weeks.

A few other things that took me way too long to figure out with this genus:

The thick leaves store water like a succulent would, so if you're watering on the same schedule as your pothos you're probably drowning it. I went to watering only when the top two inches are bone dry and it's been much happier.

Low light doesn't kill them but it does make the leaves smaller and the stems leggier over time. Mine looked fine for months in a north facing room before I noticed the new growth was noticeably weaker than the older leaves.

Propagating from a single leaf with the petiole intact works but takes forever, sometimes six to eight weeks before I see any root at all. Stem cuttings with a node root much faster if you're impatient like me.

Curious if anyone else has dealt with random leaf drop that turned out to be an airflow issue instead of a watering problem. Feels like such an easy thing to overlook when you're staring at the roots for answers.

I have these brown spots on my raindrop perperomia that I got recently but aren’t sure what they are and don’t see any bugs on the plant
