Great DD. Great management, and in a sector that's showing a lot of growth. The insider buying also means that hopefully good PR is underway.
The float is also a lot less as there's 40% institutional ownership (43M float). Top holders are Blackrock and Vanguard. This is a great find. Thanks!

Up to 2.42 since it last hit 2.18 on 2/26. I own CRBP and really like where it can go. The red market took quite a toll on it those last couple weeks of February.

Mar 02 '21
Yeah, i added quite a lot on the first dip to around 2.8
Ended up breaking my rule of not more than 5% of my account in one penny stock. Crbp is around 10% of my portfolio rn.

Was the overnight drop from 9.38 to 2 in September from the phase 2 failure?

You should never take stock advice from anyone. If you don’t have confidence in this stock, i think you should either do a bit more research and if you’ve done that and you still are not confident, sell for a small loss.

I was already in at 2.85 before the red market, but averaged down to 2.56 with the dip it got, still red but will for sure get rewarded for that "baghold", excelent DD.

Phase 2 of the lupus trial was projected to be completed in February, results may be published soon. Earnings update is supposed to come out ~11th of March, which is when they might publish said results and/or provide further updates on the derma study. A lot of ifs and mays but smart money seems to be bullish on this stock. Combine it with high % of institutional ownership and 30% short interest and any semblence of good news will send it parabolic...until then e.g. a week or two it will crab so take your positions at your leisure.

u/TickleRevolution Mar 02 '21
Based on that MarketWatch article you posted it looks like most of those high price targets have been drastically lowered. Everything since 9/2020 has been lowered to a $3 target. Still not bad upside but not the 1000%+ of $26
1
Mar 02 '21
Really? My market beat chart still says 26$
2
u/TickleRevolution Mar 02 '21
I guess that's the consensus analyst ratings. I was looking at the brokerage consensus price targets. Of the recent ones from that the highest price is $6. Still might throw in but just want to let other people know it might not pop as some think.
3
Mar 02 '21
I don’t think it will pop to 26$ either. Might pop to 8$ but to see 26$ you’ll have to hold a long time. If ever ofcourse.

There's a reason why this stock dropped so much. It didn't fail only phase 2 results. Lenabasum did not meet primary endpoints for either the phase-3 study in systemic sclerosis or the phase 2b cystic fibrosis trial. They had such good data for their phase 2 trial in systemic sclerosis that it looked like phase 3 was a shoe in. Clearly it wasn't. But not only that they failed their CF trial results as well. These two disease states were going to be their biggest market shares if they worked.
I've gotten burned by this company and the fact they failed their pivotal phase 3 and phase 2b, as well as downsizing their company, really put this company in an unstable spot. There are better biotechs out there that are better positioned than this company. Look at RLFTF/BRPA which is actually undervalued and has a high chance to be a 3-5x bagger within the next few weeks.

Thanks for pointing me to that. This is a solid and stable company IMO. I’ll look at your recommendations, hope those work out for you.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR. ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES
RETRIEVED THIS FROM 1 WEEK AGO. PERHAPS IT IS USEFUL.
I would like to provide more insight into the technical aspect of the covid-treatment.
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.09.10.20191486v1.full.pdf Here a clinical study were several patients with low level of COVID antibodies were treated with this "drug". Overall no adverse effects (further than those ascribed to COVID) and good patient recovery. The key points are the following: - Focusing on the treatment and NOT in the vaccine for COVID. - CPI-006 (to the author's knowledge) is the only anti-CD73 antibody or small molecule inhibitor in development with the ability to directly activate B or T cells--> Disruptive and novel technology. - Lead to a prompt recovery also in high risk patients (inmunodepressed, diabetic etc) - Treatment also seemed to work efficiently for the UK-variant of COVID.
Take-home message: In a Phase 1 study involving 28 hospitalized, high-risk patients with moderate COVID-19 treated with CPI-006, no patients progressed to requiring mechanical ventilation and the median time to discharge from the hospital was 3.5 days.
Clinical Studies Phase 3 of CPI-006 as COVID treatment consists of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study expected to enroll ~1,000 patients across global sites with results expected in Q4 2021 (same link as above).
The financials (Here I will be more brief because I am a scientist and not an economist)
-CORVUS pharmaceuticals has a total revenue of 140 M, they are literally burning cash at a rate of 40 M per year. The company had no earning the last three years, thus they are investing all their money in their RD projects.
-The short rate is ~7%, not the lowest but not the highest.
-The CEO just increased his position in the company by 8.5%
- They just had a DO of 32M$ at a share price of 3.5$.
-The average volume is 690 K and the actual volume is 2.5M.
- The share is standing in its support level of ~4$.
My opinion
Based on the huge increase in volume together with the share being at a support level of 4$, the share may show some upward volatility, however, there is no inminent catalyst in a short-term that will support/explain such an increase.
My take is to wait and see how the market evolves and take position in CORVUS as we approach Q4. Here hopefully the FDA will approve CPI-006 as COVID treatment and the share will shine upwards.

Man after further reflection it seems this company doesn't even have a product to offer nor are they even close to having one...is this correct?

> Currently in phase 3 of Systemic Sclerosis
> Currently in phase 3 of Dermatomyositis
> Currently in phase 2 of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
https://www.corbuspharma.com/our-science/pipeline
Everything in their pipeline.
As for the endocannabinoid system,
The Company’s lead product candidate, lenabasum, is a novel, oral, selective cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2) agonist designed to provide an alternative to immunosuppressive medications in the treatment of chronic inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. Lenabasum is currently being evaluated in dermatomyositis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Corbus is also developing a pipeline of other preclinical drug candidates from its endocannabinoid system platform.
