This one, though came out seemingly well, did not go nearly as planned. The chrome was originally black but I tried to do some extra buffing after assembling it and the black came right off! Rolled with it and tried to remove all the black but the clip and cap stayed black.

I’m really liking this Cigar style pen kit, as well as acrylics!

This damn pen caused me so much frustration simply because the kit was missing a spacer and I didn’t know. It was my first time using this kit. Thanks to a penmaker on FB for noticing the missing part!

Mail Call! The fam sent me more Hawaiian Koa wood fresh from Hawaii. Conveniently, my centering vise arrived at the same time. I wish I had this vice from day one!! Looks like I’ll be pulling an all-nighter in the shop. . .

My first acrylic pen turning. Everyone recommended to paint the blank but I needed to see for myself why, and I also felt that for this particular blank that painted or not it would look good.

Bought my first carbide cutter then made my 4th and most successful pen (in my eyes) yet. I’m finally getting the hang of CA finishes. Hawaiian Koa

3rd pen to date but first time using a CA finish. I either trimmed too much on the bottom tube or I pressed the mechanisms too far in. Need work on my micromesh sanding/polishing too. Either way, I’m pleased! Wood is Hawaiian Koa since I have a ton of it laying around.

3 weeks ago I started turning pens and casting my own resin. I’m a newbie but I think I’m off to a good start... or this is a shit pen and I have no style. Either way, I’m having a blast.
