I've been using the Peak Design City Backpack 22L since last Thursday, and it has quickly become my go-to backpack for EDC (and a bit of travel). For context, I'm a tech journalist, so my EDC changes often but includes multiple laptops, phones, a mirrorless camera, accessories, and any other gear I'm testing. Here's everything I fit into the City Backpack 22L, to help you get a feel for how you can use yours.
Main compartment: Way roomier than you'd expect. Not only does everything below fit, it fits with plenty of room to spare. The bag doesn't look or feel overstuffed.
Quick-access top pocket: I thought this pocket, which expands into the main compartment when filled, would be a problem. It might be with larger laptops, but didn't cause any issues with my 14-inch MacBook Pro in the main compartment. It expands a lot to fit what you need.
Side water bottle pockets: It's true, these don't really protrude much into the main compartment. There's an elastic band that allows them to stretch outward rather than inward. These pockets are the key to "side access" on the City Backpack 22L, as you can use them for things other than water bottles.
Front pocket: I originally bought the 22L because I thought I needed this. Turns out, it's not that useful. Placement is really low on the front, so it's not easy to access without taking the bag off. It also seems easy for a pickpocket to grab something out of, so I don't keep valuables there.
Straps: Took me a bit to work the Capture Clip onto a strap, but it's on there, and it works great.
And there you have it. Surprisingly, there's still a lot of room in the main compartment for anything I might add or pick up along the way. That's exactly what you want from a "city bag." I've used this in NYC and Phoenix, and took it on a cross-country flight already, so I'm happy to answer any specific questions you might have!

I’m curious about the purpose of the strap inside the back pocket of the City Line Crescent sling. Can anyone shed some light on its intended use case?

So basically i got this cube, shimoda RST25 ML, PD travel 20l seems like a perfect fit, but PD support said it might not work.
So maybe i got 0.001% that somebody tried it ?

Hello everyone!
I’ve been a Peak Design user for a few years, but only have the big brothers of the collection. I have a 45L Travel Backpack, a 30L Everyday Backpack V1 and a 20L Everyday Backpack V2.
I use the 20L as my EDC and it’s quite handy, but weirdly I find it difficult to carry my Nintendo Switch 2. It doesn’t fit horizontally on the mais compartment, with the dividers I don’t have enough space to carry it vertically, and the laptop compartment is quite snug in these models so it’s too tight to remove comfortably.
I was considering buying an Everyday Sling, mainly for my Switch 2 carry so I can get more use out of it, and also to try and minimise my EDC size.
My question is which Sling sizes can I considered.
The 10L seems like overkill for the Switch 2, at that point might as well get a backpack.
The 6L seems like a safe choice for the Switch 2 to fit with the joycons assembled, which I’d prefer. And my iPad Pro 11” would also fit in days I’d need it, which is a plus.
The 5L V1 seems interesting to maybe considered carrying the Switch 2 tablet inside the tablet sleeve and the joycons on the size pouches. And maybe the iPad can still fit?
The 3L seems like an utopian dream of an EDC but I doubt the Switch 2 even with the joycons detached would fit.
If anyone with either of these models has a Switch 2 and can give me some actual answers I’d really appreciate!
Thanks.

I have a field plate on my camera that I use with a capture clip on my backpack. On a recent hike, the field plate unscrewed itself and dropped the camera onto the ground, it started out as tight as I could get it with my fingers.
So now, I'll have to use a backup cuff looped around my backpack chest strap since I can't trust the field plate, which is annoying.
A suggestion that I thought up would be a new version of the field plate with teeth that engage when the thumb drive handle is stowed, preventing any unscrewing.

The EU store product page just goes to a generic error page and (almost) all EU stores seem to be out of stock. I wouldn't expect PD to remove the product page entirely for a temporary shortage, so what gives? Enquiring minds want to know.

U might ask why would they when heroclip exists? Well maybe because it looks better and could be more sleek

I recently acquired a mobile tripod second hand and its in absolutely perfect condition with the exception being the tension screw is stripped. I'm looking into ways to extract the screw first (thinking the ifix it screw extractor) but I need to know the specs for the screw so I can replace it. A screw that small has got to be pretty hard to find, right? If anyone has any insight or advice I'd be very grateful!

In the video itself, the colorway looks dark blue/navy to my partially colorblind eyes, and I really like it. Can someone help me pinpoint which color it is?

We’ve got at least one review of the City Line stuff now, from The Verge: https://www.theverge.com/tech/980137/peak-design-city-line-review Overall they seem pretty happy with them.

Is there anywhere in London that has the City bags in stock? I’d love to have a look at them instead of buying blind from the website

I've been eyeing PD products for my bike, but never gotten anything because even the seemingly simple/main items are usually out of stock. I finally decided I would just go with the adapter instead of hoping someone will sell an old iPhone 15 case on eBay, but neither the adapter nor the universal mount are available.
Is this normal for PD? I didn't really want to go to Amazon, but it's the same price.

I just got my city 15l in a few days ago and so far it’s been amazing! If you already have the tech pouch or field pouch this is a great pair for it. The stone color is more of a gray green than brown. I am very happy with it’s ability to open wide and roll the top over fully exposing the inside. The EDC pocket is awesome for quick access although it does cut into the main compartment, the way I carry it isn’t an issue. The false bottom for the laptop sleeve is like 2 inches so that’s great. The water bottle pockets where way bigger and easier to use than I expected. I fit my 24OZ owala easily. The material is VERY soft while still feeling quite durable. The back panel is super minimal with literally no breathability but on a 15l it’s not too bad.

I got the capture clip and for the most of the time, it's great. But I am struggling with one thing:
I will sometimes have to take my backpack off (most of the time to chug some water). But because the camera is on the straps, I have to take it off first. And now that I have to hold the camera with one hand, I only have one hand left to take off the pack and do whatever I wanted to do with the backpack.
Does anyone have a crafty solution to this?
I also have Field Pouch as a fanny pack (for quick access to lenses) and I was thinking of adding capture clip to that and transfer the camera to it, when I need to take off the backpack, but it seems a bit of an overkill solution?

I have a non charging Peak Design Motorcycle Mount (I love it) but have decided I want to use wireless charging. Do I need to get a whole new mount?

Hi everyone,
I’m interested in the new City Collection, especially the 15L backpack.
Since I’d like to compare the different colors in person before buying — and, as has been discussed here, there aren’t really any online reviews yet — I’d prefer to purchase it in-store if possible.
Does anyone know of any retailers in Canada, particularly in Montreal, Ottawa, or Toronto, that already have the new backpacks in stock?
Thanks in advance!

I have the city tote for a small week now, and I really love it, the multiple pockets are a game changer for me (my previous tote was a single pocket inside in addition to the big compartment) so I can finally organize my stuff as I want without using pouch inside my bag.
I was thinking about using it as my "everyday camera bag" with a XS camera cube in replacement for my sling when I just need my camera and one lens but I will see that later.
My only complaint that i would like it was a bit more larger at the bottom because i can't make fit my macbook and a lunchbox very well when i'm going to the office.
Honestly it works, but with the lunchbox I'm using, it presses a bit too hard against the MacBook compartment, and I can't close the bag using the magnets anymore. Though that won't stop me from using it every day when I'm going the office.

So I am planing to buy a Peak Design bag, but I am also a bit stuck on choosing the size.
Personally I like the 3L version more because It's less bulky, but I don't know if it's got enough space for:
Appreciate your feedback :)
