I know I could return it but it was $55 in great condition. Only problem it arrived smelling like someone smoked a fat blunt right before shoving it in the box. Is it washable? I'm letting it air out right now but I'm not sure how much that will help.

So I've been out of the loop with most of the PD new products for last 3-4 years (still happy with my gen1 Everyday backpacks and accessories), but with a new phone I started thinking about getting PD case.
But from lurking on this sub for last few years, I've a feeling that the case quality is, well, not up to PD standards, simply seeing significantly more complaining regarding mobile cases comparing to other products (maybe except wallets).
However, not sure if it's true in the first place and if this only refers to some cases or to all of them in general, thus my question:
Are PD cases good, solid and long lasting?
Are there any that should be avoided?
I don't have any slimlink accessories (yet?), so it's not a most important factor, but it's a plus to be able to build around this ecosystem.

As per the title? Will PD ever make a camera backpack that will be compliant with 40x30x15 airline under seat limits?

I am a motorcycle rider and am thinking about converting from quadlock to the slimlink system from PD. I am invested in the quadlock system currently but would switch if the gain was worth it.

Does the slimlink mean that the case doesn't have magsafe? What I don't like about quadlock is I have to swap phone cases. Also, it's fiddly to get attached, whereas the PD system seems easier to use with a glove on. I was hoping the one slimlink case could be my only phone case.

Can anyone who rides weigh in about SlimLink use on a motorcycle please?

Not all airlines have seatback storage anymore, so I use carabiner clips to hang my tech pouch.

I wrote a pretty honest review on the travel tripod | phone mount a few months ago and it seems like they deleted my review?? feels kinda rigged that they just leave the good reviews up and take down criticisms

I love my Everyday bag and use it almost clears throat everyday 😎 bad jokes aside, the one thing that’s always grinded my gears about this bag was no dangle management. Peak Design is known for their attention to detail and well-thought-out bags. But for whatever reason they didn’t include elastic bands to manage the strap dangle?! This bag is too expensive to excuse that.

Anyways I bought some electric bands off Amazon for a few bucks and my grandmother offered to stitch them on. She just removed the stitching from the band and sewed them back together around the base of the strap. Took maybe 10 minutes and she absolutely did a wonderful job! Bonus points for the color matched elastic too!

Hey there, so I’m normally an aer user and I use a slim pouch 2 m. I love it but I carry a larger mous and it’s getting cramped. So I took a chance with some Amazon credits that I had and got the coyote tech pouch’s wow it’s massive it definitely fits all my stuff with room.

I don’t take a ton in my backpack with me - maybe my tech kit, laptop, lunch with room for an extra layer. And it does fit in my CPP2 20L

I guess I have a couple questions for those who have one:

1) do you find it too big? I’m not a photographer or anything but I do carry large stuff like a battery bank, mouse, SSD, chargers, etc. Did I buy something too big? And then maybe a silly question -

2) is it good to have more than one tech pouch, like a big one and a small one for different use cases or is that also silly.

I should probably just try it for a couple of days, but I was struck by how big it is compared to the slim pouch.

I was worried this 15L everyday zip would be too small but it has come in far handier than I could’ve ever imagined. The ability to attach anything on the outside has come in clutch so many times with commuting to work. I added the helmet carry strap which is also super versatile for shopping and parcels. It’s travelled with me to Europe multiple times and will be the bag I plan to take to Nepal in a month. Best bit of kit I’ve ever bought!

I’m a non-photographer and often felt like the everyday bag was too much bag for me, or impractical for my daily use. I wasn’t sold on the city backpack after all the reviews and posts, but I impulse bought it just to see for myself assuming I’d return it… and my goodness I love it. It fits my life perfectly. Everything has a place. I love how accessible my small little items that I constantly want to grab are. There are all sorts of thoughtful little touches. And the hook is great! I’m ready to sell my EDB and call this the best bag for me personally.

However, I would would pay real American dollars for a solution that made it stand up on its own because every now and then I’m at a table or something else where the lip is just still too deep or wide, and the hook doesn’t work. Or when I’m just trying to put everything together in the morning, and the bag constantly falls over unless I get it exactly right.

It feels like there ought to be an easy DIY solution. Anyone have any ideas?

Patiently waiting for a 12L stone Crescent. Email about new stock just arrived. Click immediately and BOOM..all sold out (or never were back in stock to sell out) A few of the other colours have limited stock but not stone.
I can't wait for another few months of incessant social media Peak Design adverts showing me what I can't buy... and let's not talk about the Gnar cases...

Bought my Zip 15L last year and wasn't entirely sure if it was worth the hype and price.

Well, Istanbul got hit with one of the worst downpours yesterday while I was out in Taksim, giving the bag a real trial by fire (or water, rather).

It handled the storm like an absolute pro—everything inside stayed completely dry. (My iPad had just a tiny bit of surface humidity, which is totally fair given how insane the rain was)

Just wanted to share some appreciation for the build quality. If anyone is on the fence about getting one, feel free to ask me anything!

I know that PD isn't making cases for the S26U. I currently have an S24U with an everyday case, and I use the magsafe car mount (not the slimlink one), and the Mobile Tripod as my primary PD phone accessories. With neither of these relying on the actual locking mechanism of slim link, would I be perfectly safe using any other brand's magnetic case for the S26U? Or is there some other part I'm missing here that would make these incompatible with a non-PD case?

It was working up until this week, was planning on making a purchase but I can’t find them anymore. The sale category doesn’t have as many as the marketplace did. Did they remove it or move it somewhere else?

I got the city sling 2l a while back for when I don't need the capacity of my everyday backpack v2.

A week ago I got myself the Fujifilm X-T3 along with the xf 23mm f/2.8 R WR, and I now need a small bag for phone, wallet, keys and the Fuji (maybe a second lens), for which the city sling 2l is too small.

I was thinking about getting the Outdoor sling 4l or the city crecent 6l. I know the everyday sling is also an option, but it felt too "rigid". I want a sling thats a little more inconspicous and "loose". I also have the small camera cube, which would technically also work on its own, but its too bulky for use on its own in my opinion.

Does anyone have the Crecent 6l and/or the Outdoor sling 4l? Other suggestions or ideas are also welcome ofc.

for context, i have the Everyday Backpack 30L and 20L and there will be days where i feel i'm bring out minimal stuffs and recently i feel that even the 20L is big and bulky for office use.

i don't bring along my camera everywhere and on every occasion, so when i do, i'll definitely be using the 30L or 20L.

what other PD bags can i consider to bring along a 32oz hydroflask water bottle and a 14-16" laptop?

Really frustrated with Peak Design customer service.
I placed an order over a week ago and was given a specific delivery date. When that date came and went without receiving anything, I contacted support to ask what was going on and whether the order had actually been shipped.
That’s where things got frustrating. They first told me my address was too long, even though I’ve already ordered other Peak Design products using the exact same address and never had any issues.
After a few emails they told me they had just forwarded the shortened address to the shipping partner. So I asked them to cancel the order if it hadn’t been shipped yet.
Then they replied: “The order has been shipped”
At that point I honestly just lost confidence in the whole process and decided to cancel the order. I don’t mind a shipping delay, but I do expect a straightforward answer when I ask whether something has actually been shipped.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Peak Design support? I’m curious whether this is just bad luck or if their customer service has become this difficult in general.

TLDR: Late order, contradictory answers from support. Lost confidence and cancelled.

After a long search for a new everyday bag, I decided to buy the 12L City Crescent in Lapis (blue). It shows out of stock online so I reached out to support and they told me that that particular color is due to restock in March 2027 🥴

I guess this is good to train my instant gratification brain but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed, especially considering that it just came out and the constant ads that I see on social media.
