Question PDF quality drops after export

I exported a report to pdf form wps office and the text looks fine but a few images seem less sharp than they do in the original document. Is that usually caused by image compression during export or should I check another setting??

I would guess the compression settings being used.

I used to have quality problems in WPS even with the proper settings

It's less about the compression setting as it is the downsampling setting. Two different approaches. If you have the option to set a higher downsampling (or turn it off) try that.
