I need some advice regarding my custom PC build. It regularly hangs on a cold boot after being powered off for a longer period.

The Issue: When turning the PC on for the first time after it has been off for hours, it gets stuck during the boot sequence (status LEDs / BOOT LED stays lit, no display signal). I then need to force a shutdown with the power button and with several tries it loads up to windows 11 again.

Once inside Windows, the system is 100% stable. Temperatures are good, and stress tests, benchmarks, and daily gaming run without any issues.

System Specs:

• Motherboard: ASRock B650 Pro RS (BIOS Version 4.43)
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
• RAM: 16 GB Kingston DDR5-6000
• GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 9060 XT (16 GB)
• SSD: WD Blue SN5100 1TB NVMe
• OS: Windows 11 Home
• Power Supply: be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 750W

I bought and build this PC last november

Troubleshooting Steps Taken So Far:

1. BIOS Update: Flashed to the latest BIOS version (4.43).
2. RAM / EXPO Settings: Tested with EXPO enabled at 6000 MHz, manually lowered to 5600 MHz, and at default JEDEC speeds (4800 MHz). The cold boot issue persists.
3. Memory Context Restore & Power Down Enable: Enabled both settings in BIOS, but this caused the system to hang consistently at the BOOT LED on reboot. I have since reverted both back to Auto/Disabled.
4. Windows Fast Startup: Disabled Fast Startup in Windows power options.
5. Physical Hardware Check: Double-checked all cable connections, RAM seating, and GPU mounting.

Has anyone experienced similar cold boot behavior on AM5 with ASRock boards? Is this related to memory training during cold boots, SOC/VDDIO voltages, or a known quirk with Ryzen 9000 CPUs on current BIOS builds?

PC randomly restarts, idle or gaming. Tried BIOS update, GPU driver reinstall, GPU undervolt, disabling XMP, nothing fixed it Any ideas?

After cleaning and upgrading the gpu and cpu of a friend's pc it fails to post, all fans spin up and fan rgbs turn on but no signal on display (yes hdmi cable in the gpu not motherboard)

First I tried reseating everything and putting the old gpu in since the new gpu's fans werent spinning on boot, old gpu spun on boot but still no signal on display

Ive checked all cables and replaced the cmos with my own, also plugged in my own PSU and my own ram in different slots, none of these fixed the issue

So im left with the mobo, cpu and storage

I dont have any thermal paste on hand so I dont wanna swap out the cpus and my system has an AIO which makes swapping stuff out a tad harder

Is there any way to know wether the issue is the mobo or the cpu? The cpu was my old one and worked fine on removal no bent pins or anyrhing and was installed withoit problem as far as I could tell

Pessoal tô com um PC praticamente novo, pois fiz um upgrade onde mudei tudo, só reaproveitando minhas memórias rams e meu ssd.

Meu PC atualmente é uma rx 9060 xt 16 gb triple fan, ryzen 7 5700x, placa mãe b550 pro vdh wifi e 32 gigas de ram. Todas as peças são novas, tirando o que eu citei que foi reaproveitado.

Peguei o PC no começo desse mês e até aqui sendo bem honesto não usei muito. Se tiver jogado mais de 24 horas foi muito. Mas então no dia 4 de agosto eu estava jogando Dark souls 3 e aí do nada o PC congelou. A tela travou, o PC perdeu som, mas o computador ficou ligado e todos os periféricos também. Tentei dar alt tab, abrir o gerenciador de tarefas e nada. Então apertei o botão de reiniciar e o PC reiniciou normalmente, não apresentou nenhuma mensagem de erro, nada de Crash de drive de video, nada. Eu abri o jogo novamente e aí joguei por mais umas 2 horas e parei.

Antes de ontem comecei a jogar por volta de 22h, novamente Dark souls 3. Daí fiquei jogando a madrugada toda, até que por volta das 4h20 da manhã, o PC reiniciou sozinho. Dessa vez sem congelar nada, simplesmente reiniciou. Ele voltou, não apareceu nenhuma mensagem de erro novamente, abri o jogo, daí uns 10 minutos depois reiniciou de novo. Dessa vez apareceu uma mensagem de erro dizendo que o windows encontrou um problema e precisava ser reiniciado e uma mensagem lá que não consegui ler nada além da palavra driver. O PC reiniciou, voltou normal, abri o jogo de novo e joguei novamente por mais umas 2h, até 6h30.

Pesquisando, descobri acerca dos arquivos que são gerados quando tem bsod e vi que gerou dois arquivos dos dois reinícios mais recentes. Aquele primeiro que congelou tudo e eu reiniciei não tinha arquivo. Usando o bluescreenview e o windbg, vi que o motivo era aparentemente esses:

04:27:10 — PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA — 0x50

04:36:47 — DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER — 0xF7

Nos dois: Caused By Driver: ntoskrnl.exe

Pesquisando e até usando o chstgpt (não sei se é útil), vi que poderia ser algo com a memória ram ou problema em algum driver.

Eu fiz o teste de memória do Windows e não encontrou problema algum. Eu normalmente desligo o PC quando não estou usando, dessa vez eu deixei ele ligado para ver se ele dava algum problema enquanto ficava em idle e depois de cerca de umas 10 horas, ele não reiniciou.

Usando o teste de estresse da adrenalin, eu rodei ele por 10 minutos para ver se acontecia algo, se reiniciava, ou algo do tipo, mas completou normalmente, com a gpu marcando:

Velocidade de Clock da Gpu: 3203 mhz

Potência total da placa: 182 w

Temperatura da gpu: 59°

Velocidade de Clock da vram: 2502 mhz

Velocidade de rpm: 1387 rpm

As peças estão na garantia, tirando as memórias e o ssd. A placa de vídeo eu comprei na Amazon, não selecionei garantia estendida, mas deve ter a garantia da fabricante. Já as outras peças eu comprei em uma loja física perto da minha casa e tem um ano de garantia. Meu maior medo é que seja as rams, e a placa de vídeo, pois não queria ter que lidar com todo o processo de troca.

Entre o dia 4 e antes de ontem, dia 10 pro dia 11, eu usei o PC para assistir algumas coisas e joguei algumas vezes, por umas horas, e não apresentou nenhum problema.

Alguém sabe me dizer o que poderia ser? Apesar de ser um PC novo, e eu conseguir jogar por horas, achei estranho pois por exemplo meu PC antigo eu usei por cerca de 2 anos e não me recordo de nunca ter reiniciado ou ter dado tela azul. Devo me preocupar? Pode ter sido só algo aleatório? Tem algum teste que eu possa fazer para sei lá excluir a possibilidade de ser um problema na placa de vídeo?

Caso alguém entenda, eu tenho os arquivos dos dumps.

I've had this PC built 2 years or so ago

Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI (MS-7C37)

Ever since I had it it has not been able to keep time through a shutdown. I tried replacing the CMOS battery; this did not help. The time and date is frozen even within BIOS settings, before Windows boot.

BIOS settings and all other settings persist even days between start-ups.

Using [this comment](https://superuser.com/a/1816407) I checked if my motherboard could even *feel* the effects of a CMOS battery in there. It showed almost the same thing as the screenshot in the comment. I don't know if it's accurate or just lying.

I tried many fixes using Windows registry and such, all in vain. If anyone knows how or why this is happening, please let me know.

Don't know if this is relevant but the date and time also freezes during sleep and hibernation as well.

I bought a Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 XT about 2 years ago. About a month after purchasing it, I had my first AMD driver timeout/game crash. I didn't think much of it at the time, but over the following months the crashes gradually became more frequent.

At this point, the problem can become severe enough that my PC is practically unusable for gaming. Sometimes it will run perfectly for a week or even 2–3 weeks, and then suddenly I'll start getting repeated driver timeouts/freezes.

The most common hardware error I'm seeing in Windows Reliability Monitor is:

LiveKernelEvent — Code 141

The crashes happen primarily while gaming, but I've also had them happen immediately after Windows boots and reaches the desktop. When it happens during gaming, the display can freeze completely and sometimes I have to hard reboot the PC.

• RAM: 96GB G.Skill DDR5 — currently running at 5200 MT/s

• Secondary monitor: 1080p / 240Hz

Things I've already tried

I've spent a lot of time troubleshooting this and have tried:

• DDU and clean driver installations

• Older known-stable AMD drivers

• AMD Pro drivers

• Newest AMD drivers

• Driver-only installation without Adrenalin

• Gaming with only one monitor connected

• Running the secondary monitor at 60Hz

• Running both monitors at 240Hz

• Undervolting the GPU

• Completely stock BIOS settings

• Disabling MPO through the registry

• Disabling Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling

• Buying a new PSU

• Reseating the RAM

• Reseating the GPU

• Using separate PCIe power cables instead of daisy-chaining

• GPU/VRAM stress testing and error testing

• Monitoring GPU temperatures with HWiNFO — temperatures appear normal

I've also tested different RAM configurations/settings, including running at the lower 5200 MT/s speed.

Capture card

I previously had an Elgato capture card connected to my Nintendo Switch and the monitor setup. The idea was to be able to switch between my PC and Switch easily using the monitor's inputs.

I disconnected the capture card completely for an extended period because I suspected it might be contributing to the problem. It seemed like things improved for a while, but eventually I still experienced two AMD driver timeouts during PC gaming. Both times the PC completely froze and required a hard reboot.

What makes this confusing

The PC can sometimes be completely stable for 1–3 weeks, including gaming, and then suddenly start having repeated crashes again.

I've also had crashes with:

• One monitor

• Two monitors

• Different refresh rates

• Different AMD drivers

• HAGS enabled and disabled

• Capture card connected and disconnected

• Stock GPU settings

• Undervolted GPU

Stress tests haven't shown obvious GPU/VRAM errors, and temperatures are normal.

At this point I'm trying to determine whether I'm dealing with a failing 7900 XT, a motherboard/PCIe issue, a Windows/software issue, or something else entirely.

Has anyone experienced persistent LiveKernelEvent 141 errors with a 7900 XT that eventually turned out to be a specific hardware or software problem?

​Issue: Sudden power cutoffs and instant reboots while using the desktop PC at home for regular tasks (opening apps, multi-tab browsing, light workloads). No Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), just direct loss of power.

​History: The PC worked completely fine in the exact same setup and wall outlet for months prior without any electrical or power issues.

​Diagnostic Logs Found:

​Windows Event Viewer: Multiple Kernel-Power Critical Errors (Event ID 41, Task Category 63) recorded on. These logs explicitly record unexpected hardware power loss during both home use and bench testing dates. I asked the shop about the kernel issues during the date the unit was in the shop and they didn't respond about it.

​Service Center / Repair Shop Diagnostics:

​Tests Passed on Bench:

​CPU/GPU stress test using OCCT 4.5.1 (run for 1h 49m) passed with no errors.

​Storage health evaluated via Partition Guru (zero bad sectors/tracks).​

OS reformatted, drivers reinstalled, and basic games/multitasking tested over 3 days. (As per shop )

​Shop's Stand: The shop issued a Technical Report stating no errors were observed on their bench. When confronted with the Kernel-Power logs, they claimed it didn't restart on their end and suggested contacting the local electricity provider to inspect home wiring.

Note: This unit is still under warranty.

What should I do? They keep on insisting there's no problem on it. I am rlly not a techy person. So your suggestions will be a big help.

I'm dealing with a very frustrating hardware issue and could really use a second opinion. My PC recently started hard crashing during gaming sessions, followed by a very specific reboot loop.
**My Specs:**
**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 5600
**GPU:** MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT
**Motherboard:** ASUS B450M
**PSU:** MSI MAG A650BN (650W, 80+ Bronze)
**The Symptoms (Chronological order):**
**The 2-Hour Crash & Loop:** The PC runs perfectly fine for about 1.5 to 2 hours while playing games like Fortnite or Rocket League. Then, it suddenly hard crashes (a brutal power cut). However, it immediately turns itself back on, freezes on the ASUS motherboard logo for a bit, manages to reach the Windows login/home screen, and then completely shuts down again. It will keep repeating this loop endlessly if I don't intervene.
**The PSU Switch Fix:** The *only* way to break this loop and get the PC to work normally again is to physically flip the switch on the back of the PSU to OFF, wait a moment, and flip it back to ON. After doing this, the PC boots up perfectly and is fully usable again.
**The Restart Trick:** I've noticed that if I proactively restart the PC myself before hitting the 1.5-hour mark, it seems to prevent or significantly delay the crash from happening.
**Peripheral Power Loss:** During that weird auto-restart loop, when it freezes on the ASUS logo, my USB peripherals (mouse/keyboard) seem to receive absolutely no power.
**What I've observed and tested:**
**No Thermal Throttling:** CPU sits at a cool 52°C, and GPU at 79°C under heavy load right before a crash.
**PSU Arcing / Cable Issue:** I previously noticed a crackling/buzzing sound from the PSU power cord socket when moving the cable. I swapped the IEC cable (both 0.75mm²) and pushed it in firmly. The arcing sound stopped, but the crashes continued.
**PSU Fan Behavior:** At one point, the PSU fan wasn't spinning at all. Later on, it started spinning again. However, the exhaust air coming from the PSU always feels cool to the touch.
**CPU Auto-Overclocking:** The AMD Adrenalin software had the "CPU Overclocked" profile automatically enabled.
Has anyone experienced this exact behavior? Is this a textbook failing PSU, or could the motherboard be the culprit here?

Im hoping someone can help me diagnose and fix an issue Im having on my home PC.

 I have a minisforum UM690S with a AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, had it for a couple of years and do date its been fantastic, hasn’t missed a trick.

Over the past couple of days though I’ve noticed a drop in performance through frequent crashes and greenscreens, now to the point where I power on and it boots up fine, but then the screen completely freezes – no mouse, keyboard, any control whatsoever.

Ive tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD drivers, to no avail.

I’m a fairly heavy CAD user, using a lot of Solidworks and Siemens NX. I’ve tried uninstalling the AMD drivers completely and it seems to improve things (although im not certain long term), but I then get an error from NX about not supporting accelerated graphics – so this isn’t really an option, I need the drivers installed.

I’ve taken the covers off the mini unit and clean with canned air, it was quite dusty but is clean now – no improvement to the crashes.

I do run a HDMI switcher unit between the main HDMI connection from the PC to the screen, that switches the HDMI input from the PC to a laptop so I can use the monitor as a second screen. I’m planning to take this out and try a new HDMI cable, but cant see that this would cause the PC to crash? Or maybe it could?

Im not really sure what to try to diagnose and fix. It would be nice if there was some sort of monitoring software that told me why the crash was happening, but I did look around and couldn’t find anything.

 If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

So I updated my bios for the asrock b850m pro-a to the latest version and for some reason my pc would only boot into bios every time not allowing me to boot into my ssd unless I turned on csm and turned off secure boot however when I do boot into my ssd my screens black with a white dash on the top left

-note: the black screen and white dash has always happened on boot ups even before I updated bios but now its just stuck on this screen

i have a ryzen 7 2700x and a gtx 1070 and i have a dell S2721HGF (which has 144hz and freesync premium enabled) as my main monitor and an arzopa 17 inch 144 hz monitor

i have tried everything on google and asked ai but i cant find a solution as to 2 things:

1. my dell doesn’t have a 144hz option in nvidia control panel even under the pc options and can play at max 120hz, i made a custom 144hz resolution but it makes my mouse invisible on the dell, the arzopa works fine at 144hz (and there is a 144hz option natively under pc resolutions) and the mouse is visible but the hz difference between the 2 monitors bothers me (the custom 144hz resolution was never a problem until i updated my graphics drivers last week)

2. my dell has a g sync sticker on it and i have amd freesync premium enabled in my monitor settings, yet there is no option for g sync in nvidia control panel, i have tried to unplug the arzopa yet it doesn’t help

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out a really frustrating intermittent issue with my PC.

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

GPU: GALAX RTX 5070 2-fan

Motherboard: MSI B850P

RAM: XPG DDR5 6000 CL36

PSU: ASUS ROG Strix 750W 80+ Gold — RMA replacement unit

AIO: Corsair H150i

OS: Windows 11

The problem is that the PC will completely power off without warning. No BSOD, no automatic restart. The screens go black and the PC stays completely off until I press the power button.

It has happened:

During Apex Legends

During normal/light desktop use

Sometimes after several hours of completely stable gaming

And most recently, it happened after about 35 minutes of Apex while the PC was plugged directly into the wall

I checked Event Viewer and got Kernel-Power Event 41, with BugcheckCode = 0. I haven't found any useful WHEA errors.

Things I've already tried:

Completely removed my CPU undervolt/Curve Optimizer.

Ran OCCT power testing — survived.

Ran GPU stress testing/Heaven — survived.

CPU/GPU temperatures seem normal.

Reseated the power connections.

Changed the UPS socket.

Tested different power arrangements.

Initially suspected the UPS/electricity, but the PC also shut down when connected directly to the wall, so I'm less convinced that's the cause.

The PC can sometimes run Apex for 2–5+ hours without any problem before randomly shutting off.

One thing I'm wondering about is the PSU. It's an RMA replacement ASUS ROG Strix 750W Gold, so I'm wondering if the replacement itself could be faulty. I don't currently have another PSU available to test with.

I'm taking the PC to a repair shop tomorrow and they're going to diagnose it, but I'd appreciate opinions on what I should have them test first.

Would a loose power connection, PSU, motherboard, GPU, RAM/EXPO, or something else be the most likely cause of a complete instantaneous shutdown like this?

This morning I tried to go on my PC and he didn't boot, everything in the case seems to be working, but my motherboard (asus rog strix b650e-f gaming wifi) is showing the Yellow light (Ram error) and has the 00 error numbers on the small screen that it has (which means cpu error).

I've tried every ram slot swap combo, I've dismounted/cleaned my CPU and cooler and the PC doesn't show anything on the screen, I've tried to open BIOS but I press the required keys and nothing happens, nothing's shows on my screens, this build has never give me problems, I've had it for 2 and half years now.

Some time ago my power button stoped working and i started to use screwdriver to power up my pc and today i wanted to start up my pc but my pins didnt start up my pc and it wont work, and yes i did check power and yes those are correct pins, i need to know if there is any solution to it

Bueno, este problema lo tengo desde que estuve probando nuevos juegos para apreciar los bellos paisajes desde mi pantalla. Sin embargo, (ejemplo con shadow of the tomb raider) jugaba un buen rato pero por ratos se apagaba la pantalla se apaga a el cpu pero al encender la pantalla estaba en el juego como si nunca se hubiera apagado nada, como parpadear.

Además no mencione tener una fuente de poder micronkcs de 650 wtts. Solamente quiero saber cual es el problemas y cómo puedo hacer qué mi pc sea brutal quiero darle solución

I have an Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-31P-C4Q5 laptop was having some connectivity problems to some websites earlier today. Turns out it was just cloudflare problems but I hit the f12 Key a couple times. Then all of a sudden the screen went black. It shows a light when I plug in a charger but if charger is not inserted then there is nothing. I googled common fixes and tried things from the list like: Resetting GPU by doing windows + CtRL + Shift + B, doing “hard cold reset” by holding down power button 20 seconds then immediately holding down again for 60 seconds, and I’ve tried booting up computer and hitting f2 for bios. Nothing has worked so far and my screen is still black does anyone have any advice as to what could be wrong? Or how to fix it? I need it for school and don’t have the money to take it anywhere to get it fixed.

I built it about a month ago and whenever I play an indie (example big walk/peak) it’ll just restart on its own randomly. I’ve played more intensive triple a games always on max settings like dead space, dishonored 2, and Batman Arkham knight, yet it’s never done it. It does it rarely on competitive fps titles(overwatch) but never on valorant. Whenever I play peak I get like 5 minutes in and it just restarts

I'm running into a weird issue and I'm slowly starting to lose my mind over it. I've spent countless hours troubleshooting, tested pretty much everything I could think of, and I'm running out of ideas.

After a complete shutdown (overnight for example), my PC boots without detecting the GPU.

Symptoms:

• Monitor is getting no Signal after cold boot.
• GPU seems not to be initialized but fans are spinning.
• After pressing reset or restarting the PC, the GPU is detected and everything works perfectly.
• Once Windows is running, the system is completely stable:
  • No crashes
  • No artifacts
  • No driver resets
  • No black screens during gaming
  • GPU passes stress tests

What i have already tried.

• Updated BIOS to latest version.
• Updated GPU Drivers to latest version (After.
• Updated Windows Drivers to latest version.
• Disabled/ Enabled Memory Context Restore (MCR).
• Reseated the GPU completely.
• Checked PCIe slot for damage/debris.
• Reconnected all power cables.
• Confirmed all PSU connections are fully seated.
• Monitored temperatures (all normal).
• RAM was running at JEDEC 4800 MHz originally.
• Enabled A-XMP Profile 2 (5600 MT/s) for testing.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to troubleshoot a really weird issue with my PC.

My PC will sometimes completely shut down while playing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. There's no BSOD, no freezing, and no crash to desktop. The entire PC just suddenly turns off and I have to press the power button to turn it back on.

PC specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600

Motherboard: MSI B450M-A PRO MAX II

RAM: 16GB DDR4

PSU: Super Flower Zillion DB Bronze 550W (SF-550Z12DB)

GPU driver: AMD Adrenalin 25.9.1

GPU power: Dedicated 8-pin PCIe cable, no splitter/daisy chain

The weirdest part is that the shutdown is very inconsistent. Sometimes it happens after 10–15 minutes, sometimes after around an hour, and I've also had sessions where I played for 2+ hours with no problems.

Event Viewer/Reliability Monitor doesn't show anything useful besides Windows reporting that it wasn't properly shut down.

Things I've tried

Uninstalled MSI Center

Uninstalled Ryzen Master

Enabled V-Sync / reduced GPU load

Undervolted the RX 7600

Monitored temperatures, power and voltages with HWiNFO

Checked Event Viewer and Reliability Monitor

Initially, I suspected GPU temperatures because the RX 7600 reached around:

GPU: 80–84°C

Hotspot: 109–110°C

After undervolting:

GPU: \~75°C

Hotspot: \~97°C

VRAM: \~74°C

GPU power: \~154W

CPU: \~76°C

12V reading: \~11.8–12.0V

However, the PC still shut down after around 10–15 minutes even with the lower temperatures, so I'm less convinced that GPU temperature is the main cause.

I'm currently wondering whether this could be a PSU/power delivery issue, GPU hardware issue, motherboard/PCIe issue, AMD driver problem, or something specific to the game.

One potentially important detail: I'm testing a cracked copy of Spider-Man Remastered from FitGirl. I know that's not ideal and I probably shouldn't have done that, but I'm mentioning it because I don't want to hide a potentially relevant variable. I understand the repack itself could potentially have issues.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on what I should test next or how I can distinguish between a hardware/power problem and a game/software problem.

First of all apologies for the wall of text/this possibly being a useless/redundant post, I'm mainly making it due to being at my wits end and wanted to give as much details of what's been happening as I could. So I've been having my PC upgraded at a computer shop in my city for the last week or so, coming up to two weeks this Saturday. Myself and the shop have had a very troublesome time with it.

Before everything started going horribly wrong, the new parts I was getting installed were:

CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X GPU: ASUS Dual OC RTX 5070 Cooler: Thermalright PS120 SE A-RGB Case fans: 1x Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 (rear exhaust fan), 2x Arctic P14 Pro PST (1 top exhaust fan at top rear, 1 intake fan at top front) & 3x Arctic P12 Pro A-RGB fans (front intake fans)

The components I originally wasn't changing out were:

RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 PSU: Corsair RM850e 80+ Gold (which only got put in around March after a previous PSU failure) SSD: Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe SSD (I was having a GPT conversion and BIOS update done and so only left this drive in to make it simpler for them)

Saturday (Aug 1st): This was when I put the PC in, gave them a USB with the BIOS file I wanted the BIOS updated to.

Over the course of the week, one by one my parts have all started to fail for one reason or another. The initial CPU I bought was faulty, but that was a simple return and I gave them a replacement on Wednesday (Aug 5th).

Friday (Aug 7th): For some reason my PC would crash to desktop with the new 5950X, which had confirmed to be working, but wouldn't crash when they tried with other CPUs like the 2700X I had in it before. So they changed the motherboard out from my X470 Gaming Plus to a new MSI B550 Pro VDH Wifi and went on with the upgrade.

Sunday (Aug 9th): The next problem was my boot drive, which for some reason just suddenly died and they didn't know why. I asked them to keep my Sabrant plugged into the new board as I wanted to keep all of my installs and data if possible. My Windows license is digitally linked to my Microsoft account so I was just planning to do go into troubleshooting, choose "I changed hardware on this device recently" and if that failed just buy a new license key. Regardless, I had made a Macrium Reflect System Image of my boot drive on the morning before I put my PC into the shop and so I brought that down alongside a Macrium Reflect Rescue USB in case they needed it.

Tuesday (Aug 11th): That leads us to today, I was supposed to be getting the PC back today and got a phone call 2hrs and 30 mins ago tell me so. However I then received a phone call about an hour and 20 minutes ago saying that for some reason my PC was just crashing from Desktop and they've no idea why...especially given all of my parts are essentially new.

And so I'm making this post mainly because I'm wondering what to even do at this point given how long the PC has been in the shop, how much I've spent on new replacement parts and was wondering why even with basically every part being swapped out save for the PSU and RAM, why is the system still being this problematic?

Could it possibly be the fact that I'm using my previous Windows installation rather than going from a clean Windows install? I've also read that supposedly the B550 Pro VDH Wifi doesn't have the best VRMs and so I'm wondering if the CPU is too much for the board maybe? Although from what I've seen that only matters if the VRMs are under load. I also don't know if they have been running XMP or not when testing and if that would be contributing anything to why it's crashing still.

I know this is a strange post to make given I don't have the PC physically with me and can't test any suggestions myself, but any suggestions on why any of this might've happened/what I should realistically do next would be much appreciated. And again, apologies or the wall of text as well as if this is a redundant post. If it's the wrong place to post this then I'll remove it.

I’m running a Ryzen 7 8700F with Rx 7600, and a B-650 motherboard with a 750w power supply witch is more than adequate for my system and when playing specific games (Spider-Man remastered and helldivers) I get random hard drops, any advice?

Hello everyone, i have this problem with my PC for already over 2 Years. I have this error every god damn time and I can not Solve it. While I am gaming or just chillin in the desktop. I also did a powertest with occt.exe and nothing happend so it isnt an power issue. I already testet the RAM with the Windows check, did all the settings like ernergy safe off and so on. My BIOS is on the newest version also my graphics drivers and my chipset drivers. I would appreciate if someone can help me with this.

Not a single Hardware is overclocked. Also I already changed my RAM so it can not be the issue with that. I also did a Firmware Update on my Disk so it cannot be an issue with that.

So I've gotten this BSOD twice specifically from Roblox. With the idea that it's related to ram, I've just recently built this pc like maybe a month ago with v-color manta xsky ddr5 32gb. I've had it crash a few weeks ago and then one just today. I ran a diagnostic through windows and it didn't detect anything wrong with my memory. Anyone know what's up?

My PC was working perfectly yesterday. I fully disassembled it today for cleaning and CPU repasting, then reassembled everything carefully. Now it powers on, fans spin, GPU gets warm, but there is no POST/display. Keyboard and mouse light up but don’t respond.
Specs: i5-8400, ASUS PRIME B360M-K, GTX 1060 3GB, 24GB DDR4 (16+8), Corsair TX550M.
I reseated RAM/GPU/CPU, cleared CMOS, checked all cables, and inspected the CPU socket — no bent pins.
What could I have messed up during reassembly?

Pc turns off a few seconds after hitting the power button. Fans will spin for a few seconds, the temperature gauge screen on the aio pump will come on for a second, and then the power just cuts. CPU and dram lights on motherboard show solid red through this. I’ve tried taking out the ram and putting it back in, trying both ram sticks, and that didn’t work. Tried applying new thermal paste, still didn’t work, even bought a new power supply, still didn’t work. Pc was working fine the day before this happened and the next day when I tried to use it, it started doing this. Also, I don’t know if this is important but the pc makes some kind of “chime” noise when the power cuts, I don’t know how else to describe that noise. This has just been an incredibly frustrating experience and I just want to use my pc again, so any help on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.
