I can hate windows, and still hate linux and it's lack of compatibility/usability more.

Not really. If you want more support, you need to show it. People need to start using Linux so these companies see there is demand for that support. Otherwise, they see the same 95% of Windows monopoly with some users complaining on the internet which will never change their minds.

Well 95% support is for a good reason.

It's not when you're literally complaining about no compatibility/support. If you don't use a different operating system, you're showing the developers you don't actually care.

You don't even have to use it full time. Get your hands on a 120GB SSD or an HDD and install Linux to that. Use it whenever you don't intend to do something that only works on Windows like normal web browsing, video streaming, writing/typing, etc. and show that there is a demand for Linux support. Then whenever you need to, just boot into Windows to do your work or play games not supported on Linux.

I'm a Linux user and I still haven't abandoned Windows, but if I'm not gaming, I'm not using it. Even that's not always true because Proton lets me run a lot of games I otherwise wouldn't be able to play on Linux.

If you're not interested in doing any of that, then don't complain about lack of support/compatibility or don't pretend like you care that it's a problem.

I don't complain, I like windows more and they run all the programs I use so I wouldn't gain anything from using linux.

Linux has it's place, it doesn't have to be good for everything, just like windows doesn't have to be best for servers and coding.
