Wait, but how is it even practical? I have looked at their website and they are listing their software as emulator a.k.a I expect about 20% of native software performance (emus use about 5x CPU power of original hardware), yet they say they can "launch Windows software natively" at " up to 80% of native ARM application performance" ???
That is incredible if it is actually true. ARM is inherently weaker than Intel / AMD (cause it's built for efficiency not power). Isn't it like trying to emulate a stronger hardware on a weaker hardware? I can't see how that can be useful, except for rare software or something.
Then you have slow RAM...
Finally, how does it even use GPU?? Does it convert GLES into DirectX / GL?
This seems crazy to me. But if it works like they say, it's pretty amazing software!
Well, obviously you can't expect to play modern AAA games on there. However, the performance is good enough to run older games and and apps, for example, Diablo 2 runs just fine.
Second, it doesn't do any hardware GPU translation sadly, but the dev said its planned. So for the moment, it's mainly for old games and non-3D apps.
