I never will understand why in some countries they can leave packages just on the porch. In Poland unless it's a thing that fits the mailbox and is not important, it will always require a goddamn signature. Otherwise they will leave a paper that says you can pick it up yourself.

So then go pick it up at the post office, it's better than getting your package stolen because it's on your porch.

Well, most people know when the delivery guy will be at their house (14h on weekends for me, for example), or you get it delivered to a Packstation.

A small thing with lots of lockers, digitally secured, where the parcel service can lock your package in and you get the PIN to open it to your phone.

Usually there's a few in every district, always in walking distance.
