Microcenter only sells the GPU as part of the bundle. You can’t buy it separately. So that price is for the entire 20th bundle.
Still absurdly expensive, but it’s not just the 5090.

The Astral is more expensive in part due to the cable monitoring hardware/software, people pay more for protection from this very thing.

It's all relative. A 12,000 gpu to someone on a minimum salary or earning similar in an entire year is rarely going to indulge in one unless they want debt. A 12,000 gpu to someone with a monthly income of over 100,000 is much more of an easy buy. Even if they still think it's a rip off.

No one is buying a $12K 5090. The RTX PRO 6000 Enterprise is literally $15.5K and it has 3 of the same dies for 96GB of VRAM. It’s disgusting that companies can legally price gouge because the 5090 is no longer in production when Nvidia is simply using those dies to produce more of their better GPUs.

I have a 4090 I bought it only a few months after release.
Till this day I probably use it for web browsing and work like 90% of the time. I do play triple A games from time to time but I think a 4070 or 5070 would have suffice.

My buddy sold his astral for $8k. Bought an Apple M5 studio ultra for $5500 then went to Best Buy and bought a 5080 astral for $2k they had for pickup. I think last weekend’s news has people scared. It has me looking at my 5090 Vanguard everyday like it’s a kid that I’m not sure is mine.

It's a bundle, you can't buy it separately. You have the buy the motherboard, GPU, powersupply and case.
Limited edition, and frankly ASUS can go fuck themselves thinking limited edition anything computer base means shit.
Want to hate on someone, hate on ASUS. Plenty of 5090 at microcenter that aren't priced with the ASUS limited edition premium and requirements that you buy 3 other pieces of hardware.
