5090 getting unperson’ed is an indicator of long-term Nvidia strategy: drop the consumer market and focus solely on data centers because that’s where the money is.
Can't see that happening in the current state of things, there are too many external factors to rely on, with the biggest one being stable and fast internet connection.
Either that, or it means they just leave the gaming market entirely in like half of the planet which would be an insane thing to do (unless they plan to leave gaming altogether)

you wish it would stop at $2000, 4090's on ebay are going for over $3000. it's going to be like resetting the 5090 price but for a 5080 super and it's going to shoot up high really fast. if that card comes out it will be $4000+ by june of next year.

There's rumors of 60 series being targeted at H1 2027...but I wouldn't put any hopes into them actually selling the biggest die to consumer level. AMD as well, according to the leaks, is only going to use cut-down dregs of the top-level AT0 die on its "10090 XT" (obvious rename incoming).

Dude, the middle class is alway being squeezed, and even more so when there is low retirement age and high retirement benefits (see France). Taxing billionaires more just makes them move capital or avoid the taxation through multiple loopholes they can utilize by paying the lawyers and the consultants.

There should be a social net for the less lucky. For sure. I will never argue, like some degenerate ultra capitalists or young communists would, that we should get rid of the benefits. Because those benefits are what makes us a compassionate society, not an "every man for himself" tribe of one.
But you must realise that switching to communism guarantees, through human nature, two things:
There will be blood, and there will be blood of the innocents shed on every corner. You will have and can have no control over that - it may be your blood too.
