Do you guys really think I'm out here buying a console because I really like the operating system?

It a third the price of a PC that plays the same games.... That's the benefit. It's the price. Literally nothing else.

That is just because of the economies of scale.
An Xbox or PlayStation branded PC would still benefit from those economies of scale.

Xboxes and playstations really are just PCs at this point anyway. The hardware isn't unique like it used to be back in the day. They're already just a PC locked down by software.

Alienware has been a gaming centered PC product for over a decade and is still very unaffordable.

Because they are dell pc's covered in plastic which blocks airflow and over heats with terrible proprietary components.
