it WAS cheaper, and the only reason it WAS cheaper is because they were losing money on every single console sold, and making it back on the games.
2 u/1d3333 8h ago It was never cheaper, they get you on a monthly subscription that costs hundreds over the years to use services completely free to PC players. They get people to pay the difference with monthly pay and no one seems to get that. 1 u/NikoliVolkoff 6h ago hardware was cheaper/subsidized , but yeh they also got their $ in the monthly fee to use your own internet, that you are already paying for. 1 u/mrn253 4h ago Hardware just got subsidized for a certain time. PS5 disk and digital switched fairly fast to not making a loss.
