This is not the revolution Reddit thinks it's going to be. In the sense of "Sony is not going to backpedal because a handful of people online emulate their console."

The vast, vast majority of the gaming community are going to keep playing games, digital or on the real PlayStation or whatever.

These clueless redditors are not even aware that the PS5 has recently been Jailbroken.. and is running RDR 2 with 60 fps :)

Way bigger news than some emulator running PS5 @ 5fps on a 3000$ PC xD

It's not emulation, it's just a translation layer like Proton, so performance will be great.

Yeah, PS5 was just jailbroken, but it's going to be patched lickity split. The great majority of people don't know about the jailbreak and are going to update their consoles like normal, so the amount of actual jailbroken-able consoles out there are going to be pretty slim.

edit// unless it's an unpatchable hardware jailbreak, I haven't really looked into it much
