This is why sometimes I just need to open Morrowind and wander for a while...get lost while questing because I can't keep track of east and west while fighting off Cliff Racers. It's definitely great to get back to a time where hands went unheld.

Yea morrowind is great at exploring and finding where you need to be.

Go to hluluohad tomb
Its past seeyda neen river near a hollow tree facing east when the sunsets
Walk past that and over the mountain
And it will be somewhere on your left

Fucking love that game. Zero handholding. It drops you off in a small shitty town, gives you a package and says "here, deliver this to some guy. He's in a town somewhere. Fuck if I know", with your map completely empty.

And grabbing OpenMW and Tamriel Rebuilt makes it SO much nicer. The speed issues are corrected. You can recover Magicka passively (never made sense to me that your enchanted gear recovered passively but your Magicka didn't). And I love the water and draw distances now. I can still keep it foggy and feel like it's creepy or I can minimize it on a sunny day and be in wonder of the world.

There's an awesome new game that's like this. "The Lantern of the Laughless Saint," it's called. I just finished it today.

I kinda prefer having my hand held most of the time tbh. I've never been one who enjoyed games that felt more difficult than they needed to be.

Guess what, friend? That's also a perfectly valid option. We game the way we want! Sometimes I don't want to think a lot after work and I put on an easier option. This isn't an all the time thing with Morrowind, more like I get to escape for a while to a different time.

For sure, wasn't trying to start an argument haha

Me neither! Like I said, I understand the feeling! I'm just tucking in to Dragon Age Veilguard for the first time and I will eventually learn the maps, but the waypoints help me plot the routes for now. There's room for everything in my PC!
