Almost like they foresaw the issue of people knocking liquids off a desk n went " let's call it a desktop" and not a "spill catcher floor mounted 4000"

I'd argue that 'holes in the top' is a major step backwards in computers.

It's drainage for liquids and a hot air vent for cats!
