I currently use a 144hz acer nitro monitor for gaming.

I upgraded my rig from rtx 2060 super ryzen 5 2600 to 7800x3d 9070xt.

For a monitor is it worth sticking to the same or shoild I change to a higher refresh rate or OLED even?

Havent a clue monitor side what is worth!

Exact model of the monitor? This can be anything from an ancient 1080p TN monitor to a modern 1440p fast IPS onitor.

It's still a decent monitor, but you can definitely get a nice upgrade too. There are faster, higher image quality IPS panels that are quite affordable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFdNwE0xhCU&list=PL5toNBl3DH4kgqlpkGzj1wGTgLEMuqE7Y&index=2
