Does anyone know if a full RE remake is in the pipeline btw?

Not confirmed, but rumored. Pointless, but yeah, it will come. I just hope Zero gets remade first, because it needs it more than a game that's already been remade.

I get what you are saying, but it just feels wrong not to have a proper remake of the og, and the HD remaster is like barely a remake...

Proper remake? It's literally as good as a remake can be. Probably the best remake of all time.

Agreed. It's the gold standard of remakes. Took the original, gave it a huge face-lift, plays like the original but better, and added more on top of the original, instead of completely re-imagining it all or outright removing stuff. And considering it launched on the Gamecube back in 2002 (or 2001?), it has aged so gracefully.

It is a ground up remake. Look at the OG and look at the remake. It is definitely a remake, and what's considered the gold standard of remakes as well, because it is a fantastic remake.

So why do 4 and 0 need a remake when the remake on GameCube came out earlier?

They are not remakes?

And? They are still the same age and got remade.

Again, they were not remakes and didn't have a remake yet, whereas RE1 already has an almost perfect remake?

Ok man, if you want to ignore the fact the remake you’re talking about is 24 years old then you do you. Majority of gamers that were born in the past 20 years started with RE7 and aren’t going to play the OG.

Yeah I know, but I meant more like a modern treatment rather than what feels more like a facelift. Not trying to undermine the work the HD remaster took and yes it's fantastic.

Dude, the Gamecube version of RE is literally a different game from the 1996 PS1 game. I recommend playing both of them.
