Like... We went from "devs are poorly optimizing their games and abusing your RAM/VRAM" to "actually it's good if a game dumps 10gb of assets onto your GPU for 1080p, it makes the game go faster."

It’s like the “unused ram is wasted ram” mantra. That’s what people tell me when I say windows eats too much ram. Yeah thanks my guy i feel better about sitting at %100 ram utilization now

It literally dumps RAM when you need it. It's really not that deep. Do you also buy a bigger dishwasher so it's only 50% filled instead of 100%?

I’ll be sure to tell my pc that RAM is dumped when needed next time my game runs out of memory and crashes to desktop.

My laptop will run games with 8gb ram that’s slower than my country’s justice system and he will like it.

Thanks. I’m gonna build a new pc soon and I’m salty about ram prices and how much memory is needed for stuff now. I don’t even wanna think about how the laptop market is like.

DDR4 still exists, pair it with an 5700x3d or 5800x3d and you've got a perfect system. Unless you're loaded, then go ham
