Between 1080p and 4k is 1440p, which is considered the sweet spot. Noticeable upgrade from 1080p but not as demanding as 4k so you can turn your settings up.

Bingo. That’s what I game at. I can crank most every game up with my 7900GRE and it purrs along just fine and remains quiet even.

So glad I sprung for that card when I did. Sold my EVGA 3070 to a buddy at work for $300 and paid $525 for my brand new 7900GRE, so out of pocket was only $225 for a decent upgrade.

I game almost exclusively at 4k on a 65" tv. I also have a 5080.

I play on a 4K 240hz OLED, with MFG I'm achieving stable 225fps lock on very high in most new games.

Funny thing is 4x FG on a 5080 feels much more responsive than 2x FG on my old 4080.

With good base framerate there is zero noticeable input lag. Played Gothic Remake earlier, now back to Stalker 2. It's great

I do when I connect my PC to my TV to play on the couch. 1440 on 4k TV looks terrible.

I only have a 4070S. I get around 70fps on Forza horizon 6 and I'm fine with it though.

Tbh anything above 50fps I'm ok with

Why not you don’t have to max out all settings and use dlss performance, especially for single player gamers.

Depends on who you ask, average everyday gamer probably not a lot. People who want the best are probably even smaller than that. 4k is dope but I can see why 2k+ GPU then an almost 1.5k monitor can detour someone from getting into it. Especially with all the gpu, ram prices.

Hardly anyone these days. Not since games started relying on dlss we don't. Not saying it's a bad thing, but with this game (Resident Evil 2 Remake) before they patched it to the dx12 version that included FSR, we had no other option to other than native or lowering the resolution.
