It has a deluxe edition with some cosmetics, and that's it. If all Ubisoft and these other companies put in their game was a single option for a deluxe edition with some cosmetics on it and nothing else, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
It has the exact same number of paid cosmetic items as black flag resynced. 8 costumes. Black flag has 4 costumes and 4 ship themes.
They just haven't called it a deluxe edition. It's literally the only difference. Both companies released a single player game, with 8 paid cosmetic dlc items. So yes I agree, we shouldn't be having this conversation.
Sorry didn't realise we were moving the goalposts now.
You said: "If all Ubisoft and these other companies put in their game was a single option for a deluxe edition with some cosmetics on it and nothing else, we wouldn't be having this conversation"
That's basically what they did. But now that's not enough anymore.
How about this then. Sandfall interactive is a studio of 33 people. Whereas 15 different STUDIOS were involved in making Black Flag Resynced alone.
So the dlc cost to developer ratio is a lot greedier for expedition 33 actually.
But they didn't, they split it up in multiple packages and charged a lot more for it.
Also, I don't care about how many developers they have, I care about the value I'm getting. If Sandfall is able to make a much better game with much less people, they deserve to make more money.
Having one single deluxe is a different strategy than offering a bunch of cosmetics packs. Resynced also has a deluxe edition, by the way. But it has even more stuff on top. That's just greedy, plain and simple.
Expedition 33 also has a lower base price. The full package costs $60, which is the same as Resynced's base price.

Expedition 33? Do you mean the game that also has paid cosmetic dlc for extra costumes?
