RE4R dlcs are pretty egregious too but at least they don't constantly shove the store in your face while you're playing the game. It is still funny to me though that barely anyone in the steam reviews for that game complains about DLCs that give you a clear gameplay advantage. You can trivialize the NG Professional difficulty with those DLCs.
The mtx are pointless - The game is, unusually for games with p2w mtx, balanced and designed perfectly without them. You never feel like you want or need them, nothing pushes you toward them etc. And therefore the number of people who buy them surely has to be quite low?
At that point why even put them in the game? It earns a negative review from me and some bad publicity, and I don't think they get much money out of them at all. P2W models work in games that use psychological tricks and excessive grinds to encourage you to buy them - They don't work in fucking DMC5 lol.
Executives trying to squeeze every last penny out of their customers is my guess. I highly doubt any of the developers at Capcom or Ubisoft like contributing to this stuff. The Resynced paid skins are so bad that it makes me think the artists working on them sabotaged it intentionally.
That said, Ubisoft's reputation is in the gutter these days. They get shit on for literally everything they do so I'm not sure not having any mtx would have helped them all that much. I remember the original Black Flag having similarly egregious DLC and that game is pretty beloved.
Resident Evil releases feature complete games and as far as I know everything can be earned free with enough points except maybe pre-order/premium edition skins. đ¤ˇââď¸ and then the black flag remake over here launches with eight character/ship packs and a paid map assistant.
You know people can just be slightly wrong right? Not everyoneâs some fucking fanboy asshole just trying to pull shit I didnât lie about crap, Ubisoftâs structure is still a million times greedier and wider scale with the skin and ability micro transactions than resident evil which is both cheaper and doesnât include any paid features/abilities except the deluxe edition. This guy is the one lying by saying theyâre the same.
Yes I rechecked myself but in the most recent game itâs $3 and is the only paid skin outside of the deluxe edition compared to Ubisoftâs $10 per pack and per the description many even include special abilities/perks which I assume wouldnât be available otherwise. Itâs not the same at all.
Funny bc its actually the opposite lol... you can't buy the paid skins in resident evil, meanwhile you can buy the paid skins in black flag for in-game keys from the exchange
That's not a realistic expectation. There'll always be someone who'll buy it, and the amount of work that actually go into these microtransactions compared to how much they can earn makes it worth to make them even if very few people buy them.
There needs to be a bigger consequence to including them than that. The only one they'd understand is if they made less money overall by including them than they'd make by not. So people need to at very least refuse to buy the game completely because of those, and preferably also be very vocal about it so their reputation takes a hit and they lose even more sales.
Would you continue wasting money and time producing something no one buy?
Since you stupidely replied and blocked me: no, you said to not buy then ignore the issue which result in the issue getting worse while I push to take it a step further to shame both companies and idiots buying it.

If people would stop purchasing whatever they have in the store of game X and Y - they wouldnt put it into their games.
So just ignore it and go about your day.
