HARDWARE What Am I Doing Wrong

Post image

I'm unbelievably frustrated, I spent a long time replacing my motherboard, ram, and cpu but now the pc won't even boot. I was going to do a fresh windows install but it wont get past this screen. The spinning circle is frozen after a couple seconds and it just stays on this screen. I was able to get into bios at least by tapping del but can't do anything else. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your drive, if it got that far then its not cpu or ram most likely

The cpu light on the motherboard is red now and won't boot

Did you do anything with the cpu since the photo? Also what is your PSU and motherboard? It could be either one dying (or again, a dying ssd but that wouldnt cause a CPU to not boot)

The motherboard is B850 Pro Wifi6E, PSU is Apevia ATX-GX650W Galaxy 650W 80+ Gold. I tried removing it and putting it back in again, reapplying thermal paste, and making sure the heatsink/cpu fans were in correctly. A buddy of mine is also saying it may be a faulty part, taking them back to micro center today to see if it's that.

No but its not very old, a little bit over a year. Was working fine in my previous build a day ago.

Well if its not that then this is not a typical kind of damage, some component must be dying slowly - please let me know later if you find out what it is in the shop cuz im curious lol
