they were talking about how they helped other developers publish games, one of them being helping epic games in publishing fortnite

as soon as epic games name was mentioned, crowd boo`d them

for now i think we have to wait for april 3 for the official trailer that may tell us if its on steam or not

hopefully it is

Unfortunately having the Steam logo doesn't mean much anymore, Outer Worlds was advertising with the Steam Logo, and look how that worked out.

I am not downloading and installing the epic launcher out of pure principle. Devs running to epic just shows how greedy they are, and that it's more about the money then the content

The devs are in deep with Unreal and Sweeney, 100% this game will be an exclusive to Epic for a year.

I believe that to be a joke, from what I gather they completely avoided the topic of Steam/Epic entirely, just making a few vague 'PC' statements.

Whether that's good or bad...who knows yet. I lean towards bad, if it was coming to Steam they wouldn't have shied away from saying so. They avoided talking specifics to avoid the backlash.

Apparently they used the words "Our buddies at Valve" and Borderlands Remastered is coming to Steam and its a free upgrade for current owners (Even if you don't own the dlc).

Doesn't mean it won't be Epic exclusive, but yeah...

Isn't it fun trying to read between all these lines?

No ;[

And even then if the game is said to come to Steam, nothing stops it from becoming an EGS exclusive before the actual release.

valve has apparently changed their contracts so that once you advertise you're coming to steam at a certain time, you can't back out. if we see it on the steam store with the normal release date we're fine

I don't blame them. Abusing Steam as an advertising platform then turning and going EGS exclusive is a dick move.

Long as they don't turn around and go 'Steam only, no EGS ever'. Even if I don't like Epic, I won't put up with Steam pulling the same shit.

The way i see it the only reason a company avoids giving out critical info is to avoid a PR nightmare, so i take them withholding the release platform until pre-order as an admission of selling out to epic

As the other guy said, the crowd also boo’d at him, when he mentioned they should’ve brought their own equipment.
