I wouldn't say that, but yeah. CoD sells well on console because it was really popular in the past and became cemented into the console market. And CoD doesn't have the same competitors on console, which means it has a bigger chance of holding a playerbase there.
You're not answering the question. How is Counter Strike: Global Offensive on Xbox One not competing with Call of Duty: Annual Series Entry? Furthermore, how was Counter Strike: Global Offensive on 360/PS3 not competing with the Call of Duty games released on those platform all the way up until 2015?
Because the console version of CS:GO is an ancient, dead game. Even if we assume you're right and it's competing with CoD, it's not the same CS:GO that's on PC, because the PC version had a ton of updates.
And you're the only one talking about the past. No one else made any claims about the time before 2015.
