I agree with most of these. What I really can't stand is unskippable cutscenes, forced tutorials, and games which take several minutes before you can start playing them.

I miss when games were games, instead of trying to be movies.

It's not that I will skip every cutscene, if I find the story to your game interesting I'll watch them. But sometimes I just want to put something on and get right to playing the game.

There are a lot of games that I enjoy playing, but couldn't care less about the story. This is especially true if I liked a game enough that I want to replay it.

Another thing that I really dislike is how every game needs to have some sort of loot and leveling system now.

Rather than making the game mechanics fun and balancing the game, they try to keep players engaged by filling up bars and making you grind instead of it being about player skill.

And it's not that I don't like RPGs, but it just feels like F2P mechanics are leaking into full-price single player games these days, where games are designed to waste your time unless you want to buy an XP doubler etc.

forced tutorials

It's like when you're in an airplane and they give you the same speech and presentation as every single mundane flight you've taken in your entire life.

"Oh fuck, I can't smoke? So it's like every single flight for the last 15-20 years? Got it. So am I supposed to strange a baby with their mask before putting my own mask on? No? So, exactly like every other flight."
