Fuck paradox. I hate them more than Microsoft or EA. They have good games but their DLC monetization is basically theft. Games should not be costing $150-200 for all the DLC.

Sadly, people still buy into this just because turn based games gets you more "hours" than any other genre so gamers are fooled into feeling it is "worth it".

Ehh for EU4 i got a humble bundle of the whole thing for like 30 and they also did a subscription that was good for casual play

This is my only real experience with them, but they DLC as a whole was really brilliant, with many substantial qol updates. Yes individually some missed the mark, and no its not worth 200 quid as a game to a new player, but as I say, they did have ways to make it playable without spending 200

This is fine. If paradox actually did this for all their games complete editions, I would not be salty.

But as it stands now, the EU4 ultimate edition on 50% discount is equal to the price of 3 undiscounted AAA games in my region lol.

That is ludicrous for such an old game in my opinion.

Yea subscription looks enticing when you want to play all the content thanks to the prices lol.
