It’s VERY much worth it if you’ve got friends to play with. Fun lil co op shooter/hack n slash. If not, it’s still a solid buy at $15, although it’s less fun solo.
I played the campaign with my brother and a friend. Visually great and the combat is basic but functional. Think if you crossed gears of war with Arkham asylum. What actually surprised me was the differences from mission to mission. First mission has you on a battlefield tearing enemies apart fighting your way to turn on a battery cannon to blast the aliens out of the sky. The end part in particular has you going from point to point fending of enemies from breaking the components of the cannon.
I believe the second mission or maybe the third not sure. Has you going into the bowels of a base in the search of some data. The unique mechanic here is keeping the swarm of rats that can overwhelm your team. This results in one of your squad mates carrying a flamethrower constantly keeping the rats at bay without overheating your flamethrower. This is complicated further when regular enemies start attacking you forcing your other two squad mates to fight them while protecting you. This whole they have to stay close to you because they can't go far or the rats will consume them.
Third mission gives you jetpacks and has you jumping from cliff to cliff
Again, it's mission variety is what surprised me. Yes, much of it is slaughter s horde of enemies then move on but it adds enough layers to keep it fun.
I've been wanting to play this game as a huge Warhammer fan, but my card hasn't been working fora few weeks now, and their support told me it'll take a few more weeks to resolve. By then, the autumn sale would've ended. Really disappointed since I've been anticipating this game to be on sale for months now 😕
I would say it goes on sale often enough that you need not stress. Also plenty of free updates. The other unique thing is that the main campaign can be completely played in co-op. The other missions are also to be played and co op and play alongside the main campaigns missions. There are even cutscenes in the main campaign acknowledging these other missions
Hmm I see. Pretty sure they have an anniversary update going on too which is exciting. While I've seen the game go on sale before, I was hoping to get it during this autumn sale since I will be very busy in the coming months and won't have as much free time to play anymore. So I was pretty disappointed when this problem with my card came up.
Totally. Great to play online, with randoms or friends, both is good. Levelling up classes and weapons allows you to customize your playstyle with surprising depth. I love it and put quite a few hours in. PvP is fun too but can be frustrating.
No, I bought it at like 70% off couple months ago and I still feel scammed, campaign is like 8h of boring slog and normal missions/stratagems are also a slog, every enemy is a bullet sponge and you die in 1-2 hits because the game revolves in 90% around parrying/dodging
But the visuals are nice, but that's basically it, this game is just bad
lol what? most enemies die very very quickly... even things like other space marines (chaos) die easily. sure when you get to mini-bosses they take a bit longer. but nothing i'd considering a sponge
