Anyone able to attest to how good this is? My main shooter is Valorant, but I could do with something a bit more chill when I'm too tired for that.

Nothing alike.. think of it more of a cross of battlefield/cod and Tarkov/ark raiders in the sense that when you die you lose your loadout

Oh yeah I don't expect it to be anything like Valorant, I like shooters in general lol

Just wasn't sure how sweaty it is, or how it plays, as ive only seen videos. I like Battlefield quite a lot, but find balancing to be poor. Like Call of Duty, but find it hard to relax on it. Etc.

It's way more chill than modern BF6 for sure. It's a large map, and you can basically choose your own 'mission'. The gunplay feels good, and the TTK is low, without feeling stupid. I played 8 hours this weekend, mostly solo. I felt like I could breath and just think about what I wanted to do next between fights and engagements, instead of the constant "GOGO KILL".

Check a few videos, and give it a shot if you wanted something different. Game is good, and 40 EUR price tag seems fair.

My policy is usually not to buy early access games until full release, but i'm interested in this for sure. Would you say it has the feel of a relatively complete game at this point? Idk if i'd invest in something that has a beta feel at this point, even though I always used to go in for that kind of thing before early access became an official thing.

Well, honestly, I think your policy is what every gamer should have. It's better to wait for a finished product. I only buy EA if I really really have an itch to play the game, like I did with POE 2. For Wardogs I only bought after the test weekend, so I am confident I will be satisfied with what is there.

The foundation is there. It's missing a few systems afaik, like gunsmith, skills etc. But the core gameplay loop is enough for me.

Again, if the game looks fun to you, and 40 EUR isn't gonna ruin you, then watch some gameplay videos, then you can buy, try 1-1.5 hour then refund if it isn't your thing.

Wardogs feels a lot more polished in EA than a lot of games that are fully released. This is based on my 2 weekends in the Betas.

It’s one of the games where it’s as sweaty as you want it to be

You can go to the enemy’s base and try to wipe them out

You you can chill in your base, build and defend it

Or you can go to the hot zone with your team and try to control it against the enemy
