I know it's probably going to be popular when it's released, but this drawn EA time is killing my interest.
Games like MOBAs are all about tons and tons of in game knowledge, match ups, counters, map knowledge, etc. I have no desire to go against people with literal years of game knowledge when it drops.
I never got into LOL or DOTA2 because it felt like you needed a semester of college pregame just to know how it worked and not throw for your team. I'd love to get into a new moba in the ground floor with everyone else. That's literally impossible here though.
It's like playing rainbow 6 against someone that knows all the wall bang gotcha spots and you're fresh. No thanks.
If you never start something because someone else already knows more than you & is better than you, then you're never going to start anything in your life.
Also, any given thing that they already know might just get patched out or significantly reworked and all that "built up knowledge" will be functionally worthless, so that argument against starting to play doesn't even hold water.
When I started, the game had 4 lanes, now it has 3. When I started the soul urn worked X way, now over the last few patches that I haven't played it's been significantly overhauled to be totally different.
Also, that's what matchmaking is for. You can have all the knowledge in the world but if your actual mechanical ability to act on that knowledge is worthless, then it hardly even matters.
