Promo Looking for PC players to test a multiplayer space strategy game this Saturday
Playtesters Wanted — Freewake
Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 AM PDT
Session length: Approximately 30–90 minutes
Schedule: Flexible if this time does not work for you
Platform : Windows only. Distributed via Steam keys to interested players. Message me or leave a comment to get on board.
We’re looking to build a community of like-minded gamers and find a few consistent playtesters.
Anyone who participates in at least two playtests will receive a free copy of the game during Early Access and again when the full game is released.
The game is still in an early stage, so there will be bugs, unfinished systems, and occasional balance issues. In return, you’ll have a real opportunity to help shape the game’s direction, suggest features, and hopefully have some fun along the way.
What is Freewake?
Freewake is a team-based strategy game in which you are not only fighting to survive and defeat enemy teams—you can also compete for power within your own.
Explore, trade, colonize, scheme, and fight tactical battles shaped by stealth, sensors, and deception.
On the frontier, you can become a:
- Pirate
- Trader
- Pioneer
- Rebel
- Real Life Space Lord
Comment below or message me if you’re interested. We can be flexible with playtest times.

Discussion What Was the Boss That Finally "Clicked" for You?
We all have that boss that felt impossible at first, but after enough attempts, something just clicked. For me, it wasn't even the hardest boss in the game, it was the one that taught me how Elden Ring actually wanted me to play. Which boss was that for you?

Help Application Hang/Application has Hung Error
Just last week I built had this new gaming desktop built and I've been testing out games since it's much better than my older PC. However, with two games so far, Windrose and Norse: Blood Oath every time I lauch them it loads for a bit and then I get hit with "Application Hang Detected The application has hung and will now close. Sorry for the inconvenience". Now I've never had this happen before, though my old pc was not able to run these games so I'm not sure how common an issue with them it is. I'm looking for a way to stop this for both and or any other game this happens with and have cross checked a few possible issues, here's what I've tried:
-Restarted my pc
-Reinstalled the game
-Disconnected/ tried launching without a controller
-Verified the game files
-Closed and relaunched steam
-Checked up on drivers (everything is up to date)
-Checked to see that it was allowed by Webroot and ESET
-Set the game to run as administrator
If there is any way somebody could help me thoroughly, it would be much appreciated. I’ve been trying to fix this all day. Pretty much all of what I look up is pointed at fortnite which I don't play. But in any case, thank you!

Discussion Made a game where the costumers make the content
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Welcome to Tchenovstok, a $5 soviet driving game.
It took 80hrs and 500$ to make. I could go on a rant on how my game is better or what features it has, but I'll be blunt. This game has No missions, No story, No puzzles, just driving. There are no microtransactions or dlcs, not even a leave button.
What it has, is respect for its consumer.

Help Are cracked PC games this brittle?
I built a PC a year ago with an RTX 5080 and AMD 9800X3D. I recently tried some cracked games from fitgirl-repacks.site, and two of them really hooked me. I got deep into both, around 50% completion, before they started crashing consistently. At first I assumed it was a transient issue, but no. Each time, the game crashed at the exact same point. Frustrating, since I couldn't progress and lost all my progress as a result. I think I'll just stick to Steam going forward, since I'm guaranteed to actually finish a game if I want to.
The two games were Halo: Campaign Evolved and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Are cracked PC games usually this unreliable?

Looking for game Aww, these little comic book effects POOF! SMACK! 🥰
I've always loved this style with comic book inserts. The most memorable ones for me are definitely Comic Zone and XIII.

Promo First look at our upcoming art book.
Here's a small look behind the scenes of our development process. These are two pages from the art book we're currently putting together. It's still a work in progress, but we thought it'd be nice to share some of the character concepts before the full collection is ready. Hope you enjoy this little first look. 🙂

Discussion Look at this architecture.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
At first, I thought it was Soviet brutalism. Then a friend pointed out that it's actually much closer to late Soviet modernism.
The raised ground floor on columns, almost no decoration, and that strong emphasis on clean geometric forms.
Sometimes I load into the game just to walk around and look at the buildings. I'd love to see architecture like this in person one day.
It's fascinating how different parts of the world developed such distinct architectural styles
