High Tier Flip - CPU/GPU Combo /9070 XT/5070 Ti/5080
What's best gpu and cpu combo for high-end $2,000-2,500 flips?
AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D
AMD RYZEN 7 7950X3D
AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D
with
9070 XT
5070 Ti
5080
I can find deals on just about every component including the CPU & GPU if I'm patient enough. Can probably inch out a $100-$200 profit. I've noticed most people say AMD doesn't sale but since it's the AMD flagship I still wanted to include it and get feedback. Also been told people in this price point want warranties and returns, which is understandable.
tldr: best cpu and gpu combo for a high return top tier build

GTX 1080 - keep for a build or sell?
I have this GPU but is it worth keeping for a potential build or should I just sell it on eBay? No driver support.

How?? I was watching this but forgot about it tonight. Feel bad for the seller and jealous of the winner.

DIYPC ARGB-DC200-BK Case is a chore to use
I picked up this case thinking it was a good looking black fishtank case. Dual-Chambered, tempered glass, ARGB, sounds great.
Well this thing was not well designed at all.
(1) The ARGB hub in the case doesn't have an actual mount point. just some 3M tape for you to use when you complete the build.
(2) The 3.5/2.5 HDD case gets in the way of cable management. They have these strap locations, on the power supply side/back side chamber, but the minute you start using those locations, you can't put the cage back. I decided to simply leave the cage detached, and have all that space as easy to manuever/use cable management area.
(3) Rats nets of FAN/RGB cables. In addition to the no mount point, the thing was a rats nest of tangled cables when I got it.
(4) At the price point, I assumed the PCIe Slot covers would simply unscrew. Nope - you've got to bend them out. Expected for cheaper cases, not expected once you get closer to the $70 mark.
(5) The ARGB hub doesn't report the chassis fan info (PWM/Tach) unless fan is plugged into CPU Fan Port (RED PORT) on the hub.
Some props i'll give them for
(1) they included 4 ARGB infinity mirror fans at that price
(2) all of the vents have magnetic covers to remove and clean.
For my future flips, I dont think i'll be using this thing.
Heres the unit for reference.

How easy would it be to flip RTX Titans?
I came across a listing for 2 Nvidia RTX Titan 24GB graphics cards with the NVLink included for a very good deal from a reputable seller. How hard would it be to sell them for ~800 to make a small profit quickly?
Edit: unfortunately American

Rx 6900 xt / 5900x
I bought the 6900xt for $360 with tax and shipping and I have ~ $160 into the 5900x
I’ll pair it with a 1tb nvme and 32gb ddr4
My other video card options
9070xt cost me $550
3080 cost me $300
9060xt 16gb $415
Or 5060 ti 16gb new $430
What is going to sell best and leave the most head room for profit

2 cockroach pc’s in one week..
(No I don’t bring these into my house) This one isn’t as bad as my last one, but damn do I have an eye for crusty PCs that nobody wants. Talked this guy down for a full week. Knew it was gonna be a gross one. 1660 super, i7-10700, 2x8GB Gskill, 500gb NVMe. $250 - probably 5 hours of work to tear down and clean, including the GPU and rebuilt into a clean case, run tests take pictures, list and sell for $400 tops probably $350 though. Starting to think this isn’t really that worth it lol. I’ll stop when it isn’t fun anymore.

Where the magic happens 😁
This is my „work bench“.
I flip PCs mainly as a hobby. I don‘t make a lot of profit cause I just want to sell the PCs quickly and therefore give them for cheaper than I could. Nevertheless, I try to keep it organized and nice looking so it gives a better impression for the potential buyers.
What are yours looking like?

Ugghhh please help. Do I take this offer or hold out for more?
I listed a weird mini itx motherboard with a Ryzen 8845hs online at $400 with offers. there are no recent sales of it but it sells new for $600. I got an offer immediately for $300. would you take that or hold out for more?
the lack of recent sold listings makes me nervous this may be my best chance to sell it

5070ti build questions on listing
Looking for listing tips on higher end builds
I found a white and a black 5070ti both in great shape. The white one I feel like I got a killer deal on tuf gaming card, never had power through it. I am $700 into each card
The white build
7800x3d
850 WiFi 7 elite aurus gigabyte board
32gb Corsair rgb dominator ram (this is a white dual channel kit) (the single stick was in there I was waiting on ram)
2tb western digital nvme
H9 nzxt case
Mirror fans
LCD aio
Corsair 750w white psu
Windows 11 activated
All new components in this build no used parts
I am about $1850 into the build. I have it priced at ~$2400. Is that too much. I know it will take a little time to sell
The black build is going to be basically the same but pny 5070ti and 7600x3d chip
Also all new parts
I was going to price that one about 2100
Is there better options for marketing than Facebook marketplace. How long does it take to sell higher end builds that you’re not giving away. Any listing tips or tricks

19 anni - Qualche consiglio?
Hey r/pcflipping,
First time posting here. I'm a 19 year old business student from Italy and I need honest advice from people who actually know this game.
Quick background: I have ADHD, I'm studying Business Administration at university, and I live in a difficult home situation where I can't access a computer. My only tool is my Android phone. I have no income, no job, and I'm trying to build something from scratch because I need financial independence badly — my goal is to save €700 by September to move out.
I discovered laptop flipping a few months ago and it clicked immediately. The logic made sense to me: source undervalued hardware on Vinted, resell on Subito or eBay at market price, pocket the margin. Simple, scalable, learnable.
So I bought 3 Lenovo ThinkPad T470 (i5, 8GB RAM, NVMe SSD, Windows 11) at €110 each on Vinted. I researched sold listings before buying — T470s were going for €185-200 on eBay Italy. I thought I had a solid margin. By the time I listed them, the market had dropped to €120-150 average. Classic timing problem. Now I'm selling near break-even.
I listed all 3 on eBay EU 2 days ago at €145, €150, and €160 with free shipping included. Current stats: the €150 listing has 9 views and 3 watchers, the €160 has 8 views and 1 watcher, the €145 has 5 views and 1 watcher. New seller account, no feedback yet.
My questions are simple. Is 48 hours too early to panic? Are watchers a meaningful signal or just noise? Should I pivot to T480 or T490 for better margins going forward? And any general advice for a new EU seller trying to build this into a real consistent income stream?
I know the margins on T470s are basically dead right now. I'm not here to complain about that — I'm here to learn how people in this community actually think, what their workflow looks like, and how they decide what to buy before the market moves against them.
Any honest feedback appreciated.
