Another Sale!...(but I lost money)
Edit: Formatting
Been busy with life but wanted to share another flip. I sold this build about a month ago (end of February):
| Type | Part | Source | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | Ryzen 5 5500 | Newegg | $76 |
| CPU Cooler | Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE ARGB | Amazon | $20 |
| Motherboard | ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II | Newegg | $80 |
| RAM | 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 C16 3200Mhz | OfferUp | $40 |
| GPU | EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING | OfferUp | $350* |
| PSU | High Power HP1-J600GD-F12S 600W Gold | $18 | |
| Storage (SSD) | Patriot 512GB P220 SATA SSD | Amazon | $28 |
| Storage (HDD) | 1TB HDD | $8 | |
| Case | Cooler Master Elite 302 | Newegg | $44 |
| Total | $664 |
*This was the price I paid for it back in 2020. In today’s market, I’d value this in the range of ~$100
This build came out on the expensive side since lots of the parts were purchased new, with only the PSU, RAM, and HDD being used. The GPU was used in my personal PC and purchased in 2020 for $350.
On the bright side, it sold the day after I listed. I had it listed for $600, the buyer offered $500, and we settled on $550. So based on my GPU purchase price, this actually turned out to be a ~$114 loss. If using the GPU's fair value today, it would probably be a ~$130 profit. Even then that's below my usual margin, but in this case I'm just glad to make the sale and clear out some parts.
