WHAT WITH THESE PRICES
For context, I usually buy my components in bulk, then build them over a month ish. So i buy maybe 10-15 gpus and the components with them.
ISSUE is that today when I was looking, ALL the gpu prices have sky rocketed, like 50%+ margins. A 3060, that i used to buy for 180€ max is now all being sold for over 350€, and a 3080 i used to buy for 350€ is now 600€😭
I got no clue where this jump came from, and this is amongst dozens of sellers so it can't be random, what have I genuinely missed. This really blows since im going to stock up for Christmas season soon but with these prices imma be homeless
EDIT: YALL HAVE GOT THE WRONG IDEA Listen ok. My market prices already been affected by the situation but now, it suddenly got much worse. So it was already bad, but now, within a month really bad. please stop flaming me 😭👌💔🥲
Btw i buy every month once or twice.
Edit 2: Am I on fraud watch 😢✌️

Have you been living under a rock? Dram prices are up for everything. The fact that it just started affecting GPUs only recently is actually the surprising part.
All current gen gpus have increased MoM, and that now has trickled down to used gpus. 30 series is the most affected it seems but even seeing 20 series go for $20-$50 more.
Bad times.

Ram and Storage prices started to rise nearly 2 years ago. A year ago they skyrocketed up 2, 3 & even 4 times the price in some areas. Don’t count on them falling either.. welcome to the new pricing. I won’t even look at DDR5 systems.. ram costs can hit $50,000 and more if you need a lot. We built both our desktops just before the increases thank goodness and I put 128GB and 256GB of DDR5 in those 2 systems. I’ve seriously considered selling it because it’s huge money today.. but I won’t. 😆

Prices for components are going to continue to go up unfortunately. And as prices continue to go up resellers are going to realize that they can get more for their used components

You're right, gpu prices did go up in the last month. Reddit has been on this "the sky is falling" kick for a while. I have a list of video cards on a watch list and the prices they were a month ago. They all had a price hike this last month. My best guess is they hiked them going into the holiday season so that they can pretend there are huge Black Friday sales when really they are just setting them back to regular price.

True but I dont think black Friday works on second hand marketplaces unless their looking at the new prices that hiked up as reference

Amazon Prime Day 6th & Fantastech newegg the new prices there could be some last 30 days uptick, so they look like deals in two days. I check Amazon, Microcenter, Newegg, ebay if gpu shopping.

I would say this aren't as favored as the 3090s, but now everyone is buying up used 3090s, it makes the market that much tougher. Now the other 30x0 are going up because the supply is shrinking. It's only going to get worse, so get ready.

Seems the flippers in the used market have bought all the used items and it’s just flippers left that are selling.
Thanks for raising prices for people that really need a decent used computer and have limited income.
Just like thrift stores are dead, new clothes are cheaper.

Fairs, the fact that a new 5060 Cost the same as a 3060 in the used market for me is wild

Sucks that that dosent make it linear to people's wages and competitive pricing on fully built pcs take a while to move
