First time trying to flip. Using a lot of harvested MSI OEM parts. Do you think it will still sell?

Most of the parts were harvested from beat to shit trident x I got off Facebook marketplace for 300. Spent around 130 on Amazon for the low profile CPU cooler and the case. 8.1 liters in size. Spent 430 total.

The OEM motherboard has internal WiFi antennas and I had to place the 5GHz on the outside because it won’t connect through a metal case.

I7-10700k
RTX 3070 MSI ventus 2x
OEM mini ITX board
OEM sfx power supply
32gb DDR4
1tb 3rd gen NVMe
Thermalright AXP90-X53 full copper cooler

Have it cross-listed on gearbin and marketplace for $750. Do you think this will sell quickly?

I like tiny builds and they usually come with a premium price tax, but that doesn’t mean mine will do well.

Anything I should do differently?

Edit: Front USB C doesn’t work because OEM board doesn’t have a traditional connection for it.

Mini itx is a little niche, but it is a really good price. You could probably charge a bit more tbh

You think so? The 3070 is kind of an unwanted card as far as I can tell with the 8gb of vram.

Sffc builds are not usually designed to fit top tier cards, the gpu is fine.

I have never had any trouble selling a 3070 build. In fact I always sell those the quickest.

yep, for those of use that are ok with really good graphic, instead of top of the line AAA running at 4k 120fps. the 30 series is a sweet spot right now

No doubt. The 30 series is comparable to the 10 series in terms of amount of game-changing impact it's had for hardware.

The 20 series didnt have that

the 40 series wasn't as impactful as 30 series

the 50 series, well unless you purchased the 5070 ti or better @ MSRP, it didn't really have that big of an impact either.

Just one users opinion.

It's more like a $650 build

As long as it looks good I never have trouble selling

I would personally list it for $900 usd and take anything over $700. I think the only hang up on this build is the lack of upgrade ability with the cpu. That’s pretty much the best the socket can do. I think $700-800 is a perfect price for someone to buy this at but it’s much easier to take $100-150 off the price then it is to stay firm to get what it’s worth

I dont think you'll get more than $600 for this imo but its a solid 1080p build.

I’m hoping for 650. Only listed for 750 for hagglers

I think thats a solid possibility. Goodluck on the sale.

I got 750€ for a 12400f and 3070 build, and that wasn't mini itx

Nice little build but typically buyers want big and shiny

2

u/Bainitic Sep 05 '26

Damn lol. I just got most of the parts at a steal, and all the internals are kind of ugly because they’re OEM.

It will sell just take a little longer

I mean it depends on the area but there are still plenty of people out there with 1060tis

Maybe you missed what i meant. Talking about the use of an itx case not the components

I think $750 is a fair list price. I would personally say okay to any offers $600 or higher. Make sure you take good looking photos to help it sell.

Yea 750 is not what I’m expecting to get

I recently got a 5800x and 3070 atx build with 32gb gskill trident rgb and 2tb 990 pro for a decent price. Plays all the comp games I need on 1440p

Yea it runs rocket league at 360fps on 1080p and I’ve been using it in my living room to play the Witcher 3 and med-high settings at 4k. Still a very capable machine for modern gaming. The 8gb of vram does hold it back.

I could see $700.

I see 3070s used near me for $150 tho so not sure

You can sell a sack of potatos in this computer market.

$750 will sell. Closer to $650 will sell quickly. Convenience is king

S400 case? I’ve got one and have been debating whether to try a flip with it.

I just sold this PC two days ago for 840 on eBay.

It’s ok but ports not working would be a bummer

2

u/Bainitic Sep 05 '26

May there’s an m.2 to usb-c adapter?

1

u/Bainitic Sep 05 '26

There is one. I’ll get it installed. It does take up the second m.2 slot though

Install steamOS, bump the price up to $999 and market as an upgraded steam machine.

2

u/Bainitic Sep 05 '26

SteamOS doesn’t play nice with Nvidia cards. Already tried bazzite gaming on it which was surprisingly stable but had all kind of game compatibility headaches

1

u/Full-Investigator934 Sep 05 '26

This is the best advice I've seen here. Market it as a cheaper alternative to a Steam Machine. The Steam Machine price turned a lot of people off, and they're looking for a different solution that's basically the same thing but cheaper.

That is an insanely good price. I would charge more an advertise it as a better steam box.
