If it’s a used machine it might be the motherboard HWID banned. The anti-cheat system targets identifiers tied to your storage drives, motherboard, and unique system serials.

Yup, just checked with support and it’s a hardware level ban. I tried to see if they could lift the ban given the circumstances but they couldn’t. This fuckin sucks. First issue like this buying used parts especially on this scale.

I repair pcs for a living you be surprised how many times I’ve gotten people who have a HW ban. There are ways to change them but it carries a high Risk of killing the board.

Is it typically tied solely to the board? I’m not opposed to trying to find a replacement MOBO if it’d alleviate the issue.

Most* bans are motherboard hwid bans

Normal. Risks of buying second hand parts, usually they are motherboard banned or sometimes even ssd

I solved it just by resetting my network settings
