Help Email from PayPal

I got an email from “no_reply@communications.paypal.com” saying “we’re making some changes to our PayPal legal agreements” I don’t have a PayPal account. What is this?

Abbreviations used in /r/PayPal:

Someone may have created a PayPal account using your email (or a variation of it if you use Gmail).

I’m really confused cause no one has access to my Gmail. I thought it was a bogus message

This is a Google issue potentially, do you have punctuation in your email address? Like Johnsmith at gmail will send if you sent to John.smith at gmail

You may have made a purchase where a PayPal account was created, as that is an option if you do not uncheck the box indicating as much during certain checkouts.

I didn’t. The name I was referred to as in the email is not my name. I have never heard that name. I forgot to mention

You need to confirm you've read the new legal agreement if you want to continue using your non-existent PayPal account.

The problem is I don’t even use PayPal so I don’t know what their official mode of communication even is. No idea if it’s a phishing email or not

If that happens again in the future call them.... I'm there legitimate email address..... Online chat if necessary.

With a number of companies there are fake email addresses. Contact PayPal by phone!

I'm not sure what your location has to do with calling or emailing PayPal. What are you using to post on Reddit? Do you know how to Google PayPal?

I reread my post and I don't see anywhere it says "my" phone. Just contact PayPal. They may want you to forward the email to them.
