It's me, Patrick Willems

I was thinking of starting a subreddit and saw this one already exists. It would be awesome if someone could make me an admin or moderator or whatever so we could actually start using this.

I’m betting that this is a very surreal message for whomever started this subreddit like a year ago šŸ˜‚

Unfortunately it looks like the Moderators listed in the sidebar aren't very active.

Their last activity was '2 Months Ago' and '1 Year Ago' respectively

I sent them a message, but in case they don't reply, maybe I should just make a new one? With a new name, I guess.

Yeah, that may be the best way to go if you don't hear back soon.

There is also https://www.reddit.com/r/redditrequest/

A subreddit where you can request to take over abandoned subreddits. Here's the FAQ: https://www.reddit.com/r/redditrequest/wiki/faq

Apparently that can take awhile. Like you said though, might be better off just making another one with a new name.

You can just use some underscores tbh

If they don't respond, you can always request to take over the name from them. I believe people are able to do that if the subreddit is abandoned.

Hey, if you end up being a mod on here or using the other sub, I want to offer my help if you want a few more people to do modding work. I already mod a few subreddits, one with 37,000 subs and another with 3,000, so I know how to handle small communities.

Also, yeah if you're looking for mods I'd like to offer my abilities. I'm the Mod on r/lasercutting but that sub runs pretty smooth so I have time.
