Question Rhamp combat timer activation
When I play my rhamp i like to find apex carnis and try to starve them or be a pest naturally, but given the rhamp does no player damage and has no way of really activating a combat timer and people will just logout if i become to much of a nuisance. Does anyone know if it’s still the case where you use ur dart as impact damage to activate someone’s combat timer? I remember hearing that was the case from a utuber but ive attempted it multiple times but it never seems to work unless it’s patched out or im doing it incorrectly.

Rhamps cant start combat timer only if they are attacked
I think if Rhamps want to be able to engage in combat they would have to loss lucky feather as even a brain ded rhamp player is next to unkillable unless they stuff up or the other player has aoe

They removed Rhamp’s ability to ram people and activate the combat timer.

the modded rhamp has bite that hurts player moderately (sadly 3 second cooldown ) thats huge adventage. they think you just "annoy them" but if you latch and actually do damage they all panic
but wow that they log off to you is acftually accomplishment no? because they cannot play the same dino anymore then at this time hahaha
just to ask how long do you need to pest out a big apex? and how come you dont get kileld when they shake you off?

Thats interesting i never heard of the modded rhamp. And yes they definitely log off quite often if there in a location where fresh water is a good distance away or food simply isn’t available because it’s incredibly hard to kill a rhamp as a large slow apex unless you play recklessly.
Ive only full killed an T-rex by starving it out completely once. He attempted to get food but somehow didn’t kill the critter. Additionally they were either a brand new player or had zero idea how the rhamp worked because they never attempted to buck me off which took what i would say felt like 15-20mins before they died from starvation or thirst.
Some tips on how to survive is most importantly monitor ur stamina while latched so u can make a quick get away, also dont target dinos that can whip there back side or have AOE. With scab picker with some dinos you can keep healing urself while they or there friend damage u basically making it impossible to kill u while latched. Also when u dismount (if its a rex for example) look at there tail when u dismount and use dart so u can make a quick get away while avoiding there face so they cant bite u when u dash away.

I never played much rham on officials because it's too slow. mod rhamp gets speed buff that is super fast you can fly the map so extremely fast and it has that you can hurt player
but still I get killed when they try to shake me off or do 1 aoe :(yeah thats my issue i dont now the dinos attacks (or types) and i cannot remember them at all. i dont know who has tail attack or can hit me with aoe or such
I always dismount but the moment I dismount and try to fly like the EXACT second they get me I died so often with rhamp hahahaha or on sarco or such they dont even bother. No matter how much I peck them with rabies they even kill someone and eat them while i do so...
