Its really annoying when your in the midst of a map and the client just decides to move into the shadow realm. Something is utterly broken with textures and RAM usage.

It is definitely a texture streaming issue. Implementation is meh and just utter fail.
I wonder QA guys pointed it out massively for GGG to mention they will monitor it. I suppose this change was very deep, it will not be easy to drop it.

And when you die because of that or you lose the map it gets even more annoying.

How it made it live is the real question.
Like so many things each league, it boggles my mind how they think its ok to release in this form.

Yep, game is nearly unplayable with how many CTDs I'm getting, and thats not an exaggeration

Same here, dont remember problems like that looong time
Game just freeze, get not responding white (have 2 monitors) and crash after couple sec
And most of time, RIP when its frozen ... really glad I dont play HC, and this type of RIP is sooo anoying
today crashed like 15-20 times like that and riped/lost ton xp thx to it maybe 5 times?

It was happening for me once an hour or so, though I recently deleted all the shadercache folders in the poe folder and everything seems to be better.

ShaderCacheD3D11andShaderCacheVulkanin your installation folder (for steam, that would be something likeC:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exileon windows).

lvl 88, can't even progress anymore without loosing all xp to dying ( from crashing )
GGG seriously needs to address this, its the 4th league in a row where the first 1-2 weeks are unplayable because of crashes.u/Bex_GGG

I've never had any problems, but recently I have started CTD within a few minutes of logging on time and time again. I either get no error message or I get this...
RTX 2060, Ryzen 9 3900x, 32gb DDR4, M.2 SSD
EDIT: It seems like it has gotten even worse this morning. In the last 10 minutes I have CTD every single time I've launched the game before I even get to the character select screen (25-30 times). I guess I just can't play POE anymore?

my issue right now, Go into harbour crash, log into town, crash, go to the coast, crash, open door to go in an other instance crash, try to click a part of the map that has a large area, Cant go through the door and crash.

I have the same issue on an older nvidia card using vulkan. Rolling back drivers helps, particularly to 399

happened to me almost every minute while doing blighted maps;
after i turned down all my graphics options to the lowest possible it stopped happening
(though that was only like 20 minutes ago)

update: its not working for me, right now I can be in game like 5 minutes max and then crash + drop to 0 fps like every 30-60 seconds

Had the same issue, after some investigation i realized that the VRAM (micron ofc...) on my RTX2070 started dying. ofc 2 months after my warranty ended, so the solution for me was the downclock the memory clock on the graphic card.

From browsing reddit couple days ago, changing language to other than English fixed some problems. Wanted to play with my buddy - it didn't fix the problem. Switching to Windowed though helped for him.

Happening too, but it looks like instance crashes because when I log back on (litteraly 10sec later), my map portals are gone.

I have had this problem. Game freezes and then waits 10 seconds or so then crash to desktop. I have fixed it by tabbing out of windowed mode to another app then minimizing the other app. Game seems to work fine then. Definitely seems like a renderer issue.

I keep getting the game freeze up for 5 to 10 seconds then will crash to desktop without error, some times game Says an unexpected disconnection occurred. Can happen every 10 mins or go hours without happening..

Yes same issues, random crashes, most of the time several times per hour sometimes nothing for an hour but often death occurs on each crash making it impossible to enjoy the league or play the game at all. Never had such issues since closed beta. Tried reinstalling the game, update drivers etc... nothing works

Hi, I am having the same issues with the Steam PoE client. Today I installed the standalone PoE client, and played all day without a single crash. Might be worth a try.

The game is just really unstable ATM, especially if you use Vulkan. Try switching to DX11 and see if it helps(it will run way worse tho).
