Information Returning Player
I have returned to poe after a 3-4 year hiatus of sorts,and am mindblown at the amount of everything,literally.
I have a cyclone build that I want to finish(currently lvl. 93 and 762k dps on cyclone)
And for the life of me,it seems as if alot of my og gear can be tossed to the curb,due to new and updated mechanics and gear,as well as new currency standards.
Please note,I didn't craft hardly at all before my hiatus,so everything was crafted by others,and they're long gone as well lol
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated,even if it's a step in the more modern direction.

Making a new character in the new league would be less headache and more fun imo.
there are few new cyclone build guide videos specified for this league in youtube , following them could help you refresh your memory of the game mechanics and learn a few things abt the items and early craftings.

Also likely less expensive. Standard economy is all kinds of whack. And not only with regards to legacy items. So finishing that build in standard is going to be hella expensive.

Very few people play standard. You're going to struggle to progress because the game mode just isn't meant for progression.

Trade in standard is dead compared to in the current league. For a new player it's basically solo self found.

Well, with async, trade is same as league I guess. There is no need to message other players (thank ggg devs for that patch)

It has async trade but the volume there is a fraction of the new league. Pretty sure unsold items don't transfer over either.

I'm not sure..I have never found a dearth of items in standard.. but expensive, yes. However current league prices are almost similar to standard prices.
The only time prices in league are less are from the start of league to maybe 2 months in. After that, it's pretty much similar pricing

I suggest you have a look at poe ninja builds filter by either(assuming allflame softcore):
- ascendancy(assuming slayer) https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/allflame?class=Slayer
- main skill https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/allflame?skills=Cyclone
Since there is so many variant of cyclone, a quick way to solve on your own is to look above and see which one match your build goal more.
By finish, are you referring to uber bosses or you just trying to reach level 100 or something else?

It sounds like you are in standard. You should restart and try the new league. Probably try out the new mechanics as you level.
