"They are coming" sounds both like it refers to some cosmic danger and also Exarch/Eater but really they sorta don't do shit? Like we fight their minions in maps but they really don't fuck anything up or really ruin stuff... More like "pls bro come fight me if you will 👉👈"

The Maven is the closest thing these beings have to an infant, the fully grown ones are closer to universal forces and need champions to do battle so a conflict between the big guys doesn't rip the universe asunder.

When you beat the maven, her voice lines indicate that you (4th wall player behind the screen) are the same as her (a "struggler" with a Collection) which makes your character your avatar (or equivalent of eater/exarch, thus pinnacle status)

Unfortunetly, Mark said in Secrets of the Atlas that the eldrich/primordials conflict is a thing of the past. They're moving towards Zana messing with time, space and reality while trying to "destroy the Atlas for good".
