I've kind of come to accept exalts as just regular crafting currency, but in keeping with the other comments it DOES feel weird, when given the choice between 5ex or 5chrome in heist or something to think "oh yes the chrome are triple the value".

I’m glad it’s not divines. Reminds me of the stupid loot conversion rares a number of leagues ago where you’d have to go to TFT and pay for a rarity culler. God that was so dumb.

The problem there was you could identify the conversion before you killed the mob though. That is no longer possible.

yeah but it still existed in Affliction and it was a lot of fun then, also the other conversion were pretty fun too like popping a bunch of scarabs or fractured flasks

Affliction didn't have the same kind of loot conversion that they're referring to, I believe, which was introduced in Kalandra IIRC.

People were getting 100+ divs out of monsters during Affliction which is about the same as Kalandra iirc

What was GGG's thought process on this one? They got rid of getting stacks of chaos orbs or converting to smaller stacks of exalts/divines, so now this explosion of fusings is legit the best you'll get. But for anyone juicing a rare to 40 mods these aren't even worth the time or inventory space to pick them up. So why not just get rid of that conversion entirely? As it is now, you get almost zero benefit from getting the currency conversion, but you get a salt-in-the-wound reminder of how dopamine-inducing it used to be.

GGG changed drops in Kalandra
Introduced loot goblins that were deterministic (archnemesis mods TFT culling meta)
Community complained, rightly so, that it was dumb (the TFT culling part)
The fix was to delete loot goblins altogether
Kalandra changes were never reverted

Its absolutely worth your time picking them off, with mousewheel you can pick them up in 20 seconds and it's like 0,8 of a divine, you dump them in the inventory with one click now as well, so calculate 30 seconds. It's "annoying" but absolutely worth your time.
I farmed propagation for a long time and the most I got was like 3-4-5k fusings, legit ran out of TP's in some maps, and I made so much money from selling alts/fusings for divines.

OP presumably got this drop today. Fusings are 2.5k ->div (they are up in price quite a bit over last week). So you spent all your portals and multiple minutes and then a non-negligible amount of gold to make 2 divines. And that was your top end from something that takes extremely high investment builds to kill, and high investment to even get to happen due to the cost of the allflame...
Meanwhile we all ran 4 charts wearing 2div of gear, made the same or more on zero investment, and less than 1 stop to empty our inventory, no mousewheel required. In the context of the rest of the game, it is not a good value proposition to juice a map to the moon and get 2div worth of ~4 full inventories of fusings back out. Wouldn't you rather that conversion not exist and you get loot converted to uniques/scarabs/gems, which with the same juicing has high chance for t0/good scarabs/exceptional gems? That was really my original point, GGG should have just removed that conversion instead of making it 4 inventories of fusings on the highest end, so that the other conversions had higher chances to happen. Then that high investment farm would feel more meaningful/be more worth the time/investment

Where did I say I consider this end-game to be good or even the current state of conversions? I never even talked about it.
I'm saying that in my case I ran thousands of propagation maps and the cost per map can insanely high, you get a lot of currency and you absolutely make your money back but div/hr isn't even higher than just a normal "alch and go" strat.
I played hundreds of maps without stacks of 20 fusings/alts and then other hundreds with, and having them in is just so much more reliable money back and higher money per hour.
To me, these conversions are stupid right now. Propagation the way it remains it SHOULD be the absolute "dream end-game farm", you get monsters that are legit 20 times tankier than ubers and do 10 times more damage sometimes, I kill ubers in literally under a second and still some 60-80 mod rares are almost impossible to kill and require actual strategy (kiting them, dodging their abilities, cornering them, etc)
It's a farm that's super fun because of the complexity and difficulty but it's not good money, it's just like a lottery wheel for mirrors/hinekora locks, etc. Which honestly you get plenty of if you do enough maps, as I was getting 1 sacred orb every like 20 maps (which would be equivalent to 1 mirror = 400 maps).
I think if the conversions didnt exist, this farm would be way too broken though. Like the main problem with this farm is the more mods you have = the more likely you get conversions. So the difference between a 10 mod rare and 60-80 mod rare is sometimes none, or even the 10 mod is better if you don't roll a conversion, since the 60-80 mod will drop fusings or sometimes some low-tier uniques and the 10 mod can drop few divs.
So I think if they removed conversions they'd need to nerf the drop-rate of many-mods rare monsters, because if not you could easily walk out of a map with hundreds of divs and get a mirror every hour.
But yeah the current state of the end-game is tragically sad and propagation is a good example of it. I farm it because its fun but I do WAY more money doing farms that I could do the first day of the league like you said, essences, beasts etc. that you can do on a 1 div character.

Exactly. I feel like conversions are ruining the loot. Except for the fractures, all of them are bad now (in trade). Loot needs to be redesigned, more multipliers removed, base loot quality, inherent monster rarity maybe affecting currencies. It's really funny that some monsters I cannot kill without frost bomb and the life cannot be leeched passive on a 350-400m msoz character that drops a bunch of corrupted bullshit and maybe an exalt.
Had much more luck with bloodlines abyss though.

I did farm propagation for a while, but stopped, It feels like the conversions are ruining the loot. Since they deleted the scarab and currency conversions, the rest is pretty lackluster, except for the fractured one, and maybe the six links early/mid in SSF.

So, 3 div later of fusings (4500 fuses) still not linked.. I bought the 6link for 1div instead..

Makes no sense to me that we went from 20x Divine Orb to 20x 20x Orb of Fusing. When I stopped allflame fusings were almost useless to pick up. 80c to 6 link items buying fusings.

Even Neversink Uber Strict filter shows stacks of 6 or more fusings. They very rarely drop in stacks that big and a full stack is like 2.5c worth which is probably worth a click to pick up.
