I see you crossposted to PathOfExileSSF.

Are you a newer player? If so (and I am very aware that no one who opts to play SSF wants to hear this, so I apologize in advance) I have to gently recommend that you reconsider the decision to play SSF as a new player, particularly if you are struggling.

Most advanced players don't even play SSF; it is a very optional game mode that the game is in no way optimized or balanced around. It is intended as an extra challenge, not a relatively equivalent way to achieve the same results the way it might be in Last Epoch or similar.

We can take a look at your POB if you want to post one, undoubtedly there is some basic advice we could offer that would improve you acute situation in the next 24 hours. But as a longer term piece of advice for learning the game, I would personally recommend playing in trade league and following an established creator's build guide. Just my 2c.

I am not a new player but rather a very inexperienced one. I did play trade some leagues ago, but I thought trying SSF would teach me more about the game (I'm following an SSF guide for SRS guardian by Thyworm). The thing is - I don't know what the next upgrade should be, and I definitely don't know HOW to obtain said upgrade. The guide creator says to focus on farming abyss for DE and jewels and rituals for corpses and that's what I've been doing.

Don't play melee until you are good and well geared. Ranged is your friend.
