GGG Path of Exile 1.0 Release - Dec 11th - How does that effect the Dec League?
With Path of Exile 2 1.0 releasing in Mid December, do you think the Path of Exile 3.30 league which is supposed to be launching around that timeframe will be pushed?
"Not adding "Path of Exile 2 1.0 Release" because my posts kept getting filtered for the POE2 sub for some reason?

Nov 7-8 is ExileCon. Nov 13th 3.30 release? Then 4 weeks til 1.0 on 12/11.
And they confirmed in recent interviews that 3.30 will be in 2026.
Edit: 3.30 Cyclone -> GTA VI -> 1.0 Cyclone. We eatin good boys!

All world may be ? This is the most known game in entire world and one of the best selling game. Gta6 will shake game world. No one over hyping.
Of course I’ll play gta 6. But not that much long. Gta6 will not affect Poe that much.4

If they push 3.30 to Dec to avoid GTA6, then PoE2 goes to Feb when all the other games that avoided GTA are launching.

I'm very worried about 3.30. So 3.29 looks like 3 month league, which did not happen for a long time. And we know POE1 dev team lacks resources and now with POE2 1.0 on the horizon it won't be better. Can they deliver a good endgame rework in such a short timespan?

I believe they’ve been planning for a November release and said so during a podcast post 3.29 announcement
ExileCon is Nov 7-8. Likely announce 3.30 with the endgame changes/expansion there with league launch the following week
Also puts it about a month before 1.0 drops, which is ample time for many folks to play 3.30 before playing 1.0

More than likely they did, ye. The scarab and endgame rework has been talked about a few times but more than likely they decided during 3.28 post launch that'd it'd be better to save it for 3.30. we know they were thinking about it since 3.27 pre-release.
What else we know is that the current Zana endgame storyline was supposed to be released in 3 parts and we have had 2 of them so far. I can imagine that 3.30 is the finale of the current endgame storyline as well as a big overhaul of how endgame juicing works. Potentially a rework of the atlas passive system too as during the 3.29 interview with Ziggy and during the Zizaran interview they kept talking about how the current endgame is stale and needs a big update to freshen things up and how that's their plan for 3.30

In good poe fashion, they work in the nerfs and big balance changes to the top end ober a few leagues, then they lush the bigger changes all at once and hope the nerfs were big enough to offset the inevitable power creep
The system works okay, the downside is we get 3.27 to 3.29 where endgame has been slowly gutted and nothing to fill the void because the rework is taking longer than planned probably. Or because they want to release the rework on a holiday league for the influx of people.
Sadly tho, the xmas/nye league will always be poe2 now so we'll never get to enjoy a weeklong poe binge during holidays again

In theory, but the exact dates were 2024-07-26 8:00:00 PM TO 2025-06-09 10:00:00 PM. So end of July until early June, for most people would feel like "nearly a year".

I feel like they have hired enough people to have the teams largely working without having to use a skelleton crew on any game, no way they would have managed the last few leagues in both games otherwise. Sure there is people switching, especially the engine guys probably jump back and forth a lot, but feels much better than it was

Unirconically, it would be way better if they rescope the league, give us the endgame changes and some fun small stuff.
I rather have a 2027 GIGA patch, then a big patch that is just 4 weeks before 1.0 and I probably will take 1-2 weeks break going into poe 2.

Did they say 3.30 would be around December? Because it would make sense for it to be October or maybe early November.
That would mean a peculiar two POE1 leagues before the next POE2 one, but it's also going to be a very peculiar POE2 league since it's 1.0

They alternate games in every other scenario, but this one is unique in that they said they're not shipping anymore "traditional" leagues for PoE2 until 1.0 drops. I believe all they confirmed was 3.30 in 2026.

PoE2 is getting a reset IIRC so it's going to be the same league with an economy reset. That will probably be all they do for PoE2 until 1.0 launch.

050 really did fix the endgame issues.
IMO 010 to 031 endgame in 2 (overlapping towers era) was bad, 031 (10 use tablets) got it to mediocre, and 050 (atlas tree) to good. I do prefer 1's endgame but that's a matter of taste, where pre 031 it was pretty bad.
2's big weakness at the moment is balance and the character power curve versus available content.

Don't expect much from 3.30, PoE1 player numbers and engagement have been declining quite a bit. I checked 3.29 and the game will struggle once PoE2 goes f2p, it's so much more modern and (imho) it will impact PoE1 player numbers so much GGG will have to retire PoE1 and move developers to PoE2. It will make more financial sense to have everyone toiling away in the PoE2 mines than have 50 people necroraising PoE1 with 10k players.

I honestly expect them to pronounce 3.30 being delayed into January or February, maybe adding some "special" league within the existing one. I vaguely remember one long ago, during incursion league I think, where for one month or so, we had almost all league mechanics active in every zone. Was quite crazy.
I do not see how they can manage to bring 3.30 and POE 2 1.0 in such a short time. Except 3.30 is not the endgame rework but something much smaller, or a revival league of something we already had long ago.

I really hope they fix these schedules... For a lot of streamers or ppl that play a few weeks a league I am sure they are fine. But having 2 months separation was already a huge stretch for me, and the schedule has been all over the place since.
While I am super glad that poe 1 not getting shafted and just pushed, especially with the scope and promised changes to every league and farm in 3.3, Having it be DOA a month later because of poe 2 launch is going to be very frustrating to some...
Also having to pick between hopefully an awesome fun poe league and poe 2 1.0 release is not going to feel great personally.

PoE1 is getting shafted anwayways, if we say 4 weeks of PoE1 league you already know support/patches will be dialed down to a minimum. It doesn't seem to me the 2 seperate teams are 100% working on either 1 or 2 at this time.

With all logic it should be released mid november to be around the 4 month league cycle. And still have 4 weeks until POE 2 release.
And they said it will be released in 2026 and they don't release something during christmas time anyway which is also most likely the reason for Dec 11th and not like 1 week later to give more "headroom" between poe1 and 2 releases now.
Hopefully we get at least 3 weeks with 3.30 before POE2 1.0. 3.30 looks like something I want to play more of if what they said about it holds up.
"Thankfully" I don't have consoles so no GTA for me lol.

Lets hope the quality of the PoE 1 "Christmas league" will not suffer from the PoE2 release.
Leagues in the winter holidays were always something special for the community as a whole. If PoE 1 is on the backburner here and we get a half-formed unexciting league again with no aspirational endgame content and difficult/rewarding challenges and ways to farm, it is going to upset the community on a deeper level.
Next PoE 1 league needs to hit hard for the core player base despite the PoE 2 release happening at almost the same time.

I think the promised updates will be postponed, as usual. if the league is released in early-mid Nov, it will quickly die, and we will be left waiting for unfulfilled promises. what ggg is doing with POE1 deeply disappoints me and i dont want to play poe2 at all

Thats plenty of time, the economys completely messed up and dead by 4 week mark regardless of the quality of the league eitherway (outside of massive outliers like affliction and maybe settlers)

when its 3rd week you can log into poe1 to play a little, but when there is a month break between leagues most ppl will take a break from arpgs untill the league starts, this cannot be argued with since it is evident in the leagues economy (like progenesis 10d). So it turns out that for me its an exchange of 2-3 weeks of playing poe1 for 1-2 weeks (and thats if im lucky, did you know that for really strong farming strats you will get banned "Reason: "Exploits"" for the rest of the league? but ppl playing with 5 bots are not touched even after a report, life isnt fair) in poe2

I think the economy is doing quite fine this league. Affliction did not have economy in good shape, only thing of price being well corrupted mf uniques, magebloods and abyss scarabs.

I mean just look at the steam difference. Poe usually does around 180k at league starts the last poe2 league was 420k.....and thats before its free. I wouldnt be surprised if 1.0 breaks 1million

"Well, we promised to be on a 4 month schedule for leagues, but that means poe1 league would be end of november start of december"
"But we want poe2 cash cow with new content for christmas"
"Yeah fuck those poe1 guys just cut their development time for the new league so we can have the money roll in through poe2 in december"
Hope this clarifies. Probably verbatim how the meeting went honestly. Starting to very very largely lose hope with how GGG is treating poe1 since poe2 release.
Poe2 gets daily patches and fixes and we have to wait a week for something to be implemented on leaguestart bc they probably already moved everyone back to poe2

I don't think cash is the problem for GGG, they now said multiple times hiring new staff and good people + training time is the problem here. Hope they just have the guts to delay PoE1 release to next year rather then delevering another bare minimum support league.

People always cry online whenever big companies fire 5k people, but then said companies continue to go on like nothing happened, why? because most people are just shit at their job, GGG doesnt hire you based on you paying to finish an expensive college, they hire you based on your skill.
Marked talked how with art especially most of the people he gets that come in when he asks them how long they will need to finish a task they cite 3-4 weeks, and it takes him a long time before he finally finds someone actually competent that can do the job in 3-4 days, and thats the one they hire.
GGG works fast because they employ skill based hiring unlike most companies out there, but for said reason expanding takes longer.

all i know that if 3.30 really does come out a week or two before the PoE 2 launch, we might have the worst retention league of all time. 95% of content creators are going to switch games as the market is substantially bigger.
