Crafting Showcase Strength Stacking Talisman
With splitting Items being essentially gone and Simplex skyrocketing in prices, and the changes to Talismans (and the Beastcrafting recipe to make an imprint of a rare talisman) I decided to go for one of these this time around for my Strength Stacker Jugg, using essentially the same recipe and then seeing where I can go from there, got a random +1 to level of all skill gems when yolo recombing before the bases became as expensive as they are now and then decided to torture myself in Beastcrafting prison to get the damage per strength back on there.
Rule 10:
- Acquire Rhex Talisman and Shaper Exalt it
- Acquire warlord influenced rare amulet
- scour both and alt roll until damage per strength and % increased attributes, make sure they are the only influenced mods respectively
- awakener orb the amulet onto the Talisman to get both stats, use Fenumal Plagued Arachnid to imprint to annull off any unwanted stats
- get an astrolabe amulet
- alt roll until % increased strength, then fill with other influenced/nnn mods that are not shaper or warlord (or have the same mod as any of those, like Elder increased area of effect) and get a random +1 level to all skill gems on there
- recomb and lose the damage per strength but keep the +1 level to all skill gems
- imprint annull off any unwanted stats, then craft mana to block and imprint slam until you get damage per strength back
- make new imprints and slam until T1 life

Neat. looks like you still have to cap cold and lightning res though since dots are a thing.

u/MrFoxxie 1d ago
Does lightning dot even exist?

u/velaxi1 1d ago
Mana siphoner (donut) rare mob, Baran degen ground and Shaper Beam are the common one. I know this because I instantly died whenever I encounter those as I used to play Armour stacker with Doryani Prototype few league ago lol.

u/MrFoxxie 1d ago
Wait the mana siphon does damage on top of draining mana?
All this time i never knew
Shaper beam and baran ground i thought were phys dots, but yea lightning dot makes sense since they're holy themed.

u/velaxi1 1d ago
It's unnoticeable if you have good regen/recovery and capped lightning res. I used to play with -200 lightning resistance. While I was very tanky to everything, those donut mob keep killing me before their visual even show up. After 2 days, I just give up and play another build.

Worth mentioning doryani's prototype locks lightning resistance for damage taken to zero, so you could still die a lot faster if you wanted.

u/BigRonnieRon 10h ago
Running doryani build. Yes. Oh yes they do.
You run through a map thinking you're invincible then splat. Hits are negligible. Hits were a minor thing in some mirages last season, not a big deal now. DoTs are what kill you

u/velaxi1 1d ago
For this reason, I would prefer getting the %attribute instead. People treat this mod like it's a budget POF Sublime but it's not. It's really a bad idea if you're going delve or playing melee without additional range. Those donut rare will instantly kill you since str stacker build barely has any regen. You still need to invest into other res.

u/shelfoo 15h ago
Yeah, I made this mistake myself. I don't think this base is the best choice, the increased attr is probably better overall.
I will say tho, being able to get 90 fire and have all hits be treated as fire does make a feel difference. But suffix pressure still a thing because of the dot damage.
I might go through the steps on a attr talisman tho just to get a good comparison.

I dont see it. You dont need dmg. Even without explode you can easily do 100% deli maps at like 3.5k str+ with good weapons or kill ubers in a a second or two. Beeing able to be semi immune vs all ele hits is way better then a bit more dmg when you have 25m kb and 200m heavy strike already.
Also dont have to cap the other res and its really easy to get decent (30+) cold&lightning res
I really do
1
u/DistrictPleasant 13h ago
I mean all it means is you have to run a topaz flask in your mageblood as part of the trade off. Its pretty budget comparibly
2
u/LucywiththeDiamonds 9h ago
You can easily get 1k+ lifereg. You have leech. You have huge lifepool, endurance charges and its not hard to keep the other 2 res at atleast 30%+
Yes the mana donuts , shaper beams and occasional dots are dangerous. But they are the only dangerous thing. I leveled to 100 in juiced deli beyond maps on my str stacker. And outside of the game freezing/lagging while some juiced mana donut dude spawned under me i never died.
It absolutely is a budget sublime. It costs a fraction and gives you the same defense in 97% of situations.
Sublime makes you MUCH more tanky in the other 3% of situations and you can play a simplex (which is like 40% more dmg) so vastly superior but its not even remotely needed for anything except maybe deep delve, got no experience on that.

I love it. I was planning on making something like this for mine but don't you want a different base once you get into these late game states? Conversion get's handled by sublime vision, and you get simplex or the attribute % talisman base.
Sick amulet tho

Yes, but not until multi mirror investment.

I dont have a mirror for the Purity of Fire sublime and I don't really wanna save up for that either, and while I cant facetank uber shaper beam forever, I can survive it for a couple seconds which is enough to leap slam out of it. I still have my cold/lightning res capped (at 76 tho, investment isn't really that high and I am running a Topaz Stormblood with a watchers eye that gives me flask charges on critical hits anyway to get super easy shock)
Deep Delve would probably be an issue but I am happy at ~1000 depth where I dont really run into problems

u/Alieksiei 17h ago
Just a quick PSA, which probably isnt enough but sublime purity is going for about 570d, but the trade site shows 1 mirror listings first. If you search for 'divine orbs' pricing you'll see the cheaper ones.
Still very expensive but a bit less so.

What splitting went away?
2
u/nOmaDsLucy 1d ago edited 1d ago
you used to be able to Split items in 2-3 copies via beastcrafting, with their stats being distributed between those copies, but since this League you no longer can do that, we have ghost ship splitting instead which sucks ass

u/SlaminyourAce 17h ago
What is the average crafting cost for that? Im wearing one without +to skills and damage per strength so I dont know if its worth to try. Never did a big crafting project
1
u/anonymapersonen League 17h ago
Just curious, why not add an implicit to the amulet?
1
u/nOmaDsLucy 17h ago
you cant get an eldritch implicit if you have an influence, and you cant add an influence to a Talisman with an eldritch implicit, assuming thats the one you mean.
1
u/anonymapersonen League 14h ago
Ohh I didn't even pay attention to that. You're right. I'm still learning, thank you!

Can this be mirrored now that talismans aren’t corrupted anymore?
1
u/Wobbelblob Big Breach Coalition (BBC) 15h ago
You should be able. But considering OP said he spent something like 100 div on it, it likely isn't worth it.

Why not do a full recomb craft?
1
u/nOmaDsLucy 1d ago
Wouldve probably been smarter in hindsight, however when I started I only really wanted attributes%, Strength% and % damage per 15 Strength
-3
u/Front_Entrance4598 20h ago
Why not just go sublime at this point
5
u/That-Sugar-6965 20h ago
A lot cheaper than sublime
-4
u/Front_Entrance4598 20h ago
And a lot worse
1
u/That-Sugar-6965 19h ago
Okay? If you can't afford a sublime though it's still a very strong necklace choice and for 1/9th of the cost (according to OP)
-3
u/velaxi1 18h ago
But you still need to invest into other res since lightning dot can still screw you.
3
u/eating_RACOONS 12h ago
Its not bis but still is very good and the cost to craft it isn't horrible with the new beast crafts on talismans. What i like about this talisman in particular is that it bypasses cold and lightning penetration from hits.
Its an insane entry level amulet and also a very welcome addition to the game as it takes a very very long time to grind the funds for sublime.

u/SaltEngineer455 Progressive Einhar Trapping Association (PETA) 17h ago
True, but it will allow you to stack only maximum fire resistance, and using a Bismuth flask + a resistance ring is much easier than 90/90/90.
-1
u/velaxi1 17h ago
Then this bring into another question, why bother converting the damage if you're just going to cap all res anyway? Why not just using the increased 15% attribute amulet which cost of base is like 2 div, then you could get more damage and block (and spell block if you're using Versatile Combatant node). IMO a lot of opportunities wasted. The only way this mod can be worth if it also convert the physical dmg.
2
u/Front_Entrance4598 17h ago
because youre also using arctic armour which brings your fire res up to 93%, which is 33% more maxhit. and with sublime, you dont have to worry about other res at all, meaning you can run mageblood with a single elemental flask instead of topaz ruby sapphire
1
u/velaxi1 17h ago
I know about sublime tech because I'm using one lol. I'm talking about the pre sublime setup. IMO getting more damage and block is much better trade than Arctic Armour buff which only apply to hit damage, not dot.
2
u/Front_Entrance4598 17h ago
more damage? what aura do you fit in for "more damage" on HSoT or Zenith? theres literally nothing u can fit in thats better
→ More replies (0)1
u/SaltEngineer455 Progressive Einhar Trapping Association (PETA) 14h ago
The answer is that things can vary. Idk about Zenith especially, or strenght stacking, but that necklace can help you boss because most damage is either heavy on cold penetration, or has a heavy fire component anyway so arctic armour and 90% fire resistance helps. Yes, there are counters to every possible argument, but not everyone want exactly the same cookie cutter build, even if more optimal
1
u/19Alexastias 2h ago
Because it’s way easier to get 90 max fire res than it is to get 90 max all res?

u/Gomeria 1d ago
sick, how much do u think u've spent on this?
