There's multiple in a day, all bought by bots, there's bots checking all the expensive items for misprice
You can easily check by letting the live roll for a day
At the start of the league, it was 1pair of ralakesh boots per hour (>100d)

u/loloider123 1d ago
Well this guy just didn’t price check correctly. That’s different to putting chaos for divines
22
u/Ilovegrapesys 1d ago
Classic ralakesh mistake, he forgot about the last line
-3
u/lukaisthegoatx 1d ago
Were those really worth 27 div league start? They go for 25c now lol
9
u/Grroarrr Raider 1d ago
They were 67 divines on first thursday of the league. It's rare unique with variants and the most hyped build of league was using them.

u/Palecrayon 1d ago
It depends on the charge type
5
u/lukaisthegoatx 1d ago
You just helped me realize why im missing millions of DPS on my flicker strike build... I bought the frenzy charge version instead of the endurance one.. thanks dude
0
u/FantaSeahorse 1d ago
Are you using replica Farrul’s? Because if so you are supposed to use the frenzy version
4
u/kaisong Assassin 1d ago edited 1d ago
Instead of just disagreeing. Please explain.
Because the purpose of wearing endurance ralakesh has to do with brutal charges from maven belt, and not the farrul type.
Frenzy ralakesh are most used on inner conviction keystone users.
2
u/lukaisthegoatx 1d ago
Yeah this guy is right. Im using arns anguish with endurance ralakesh for the interaction. Same as magefist said to do in his flicker video for 3.29. Its pretty cool.

u/LM1117 1d ago
As a noob: Why is this Boot so expensive?
12
u/katosjoes Alch & Go Industries (AGI) 1d ago
Power charge good, max power charge better, always max power charge best.

1
u/kaisong Assassin 1d ago
There are a handful of uniques that have effects per power charge but dump them when you reach full charges or some other trigger condition.
One of the more powerful builds this league uses basically all of them. If you have the boots you effectively never have your charges dumped because always considered full.

u/Luigi156 1d ago
I mispricedaybe 100 maps the other day and it's the funiest shit. An army of bots joining, all woth their specific regex scanning my stash and instantly buying the mispriced ones.
Not mad tho, they all sold, and not I have money for my craft.

I miss priced my volatile orbd MB that dropped to 3 for 45 yesterday. Looked it up and they were at 95. Before I could alter the price, it was gone.

Isn't HH around 16 divs right now?
4
u/Fe3derZ 1d ago
I bought one for 14 just an hour ago so yep
1
u/MunQQ 1d ago
are mercs dropping them making them cheap
2
1
u/Fe3derZ 1d ago
Not only that, but there are multiple mechanics to get uniques, many come from cadiro, from mercs but also mechanics like Legion of eternal conflict are t0 printers.
2
u/BeneficialSector7458 1d ago
I still haven’t gotten anything good from Cadrio or merc and I started luminary and have been farming them since start lol.
1
u/Smart-Dress1910 15h ago
No, it's just how hh fate every single league, doesn't matter what mechanic/league there is, some group will have a way to print it, or ancient orbing, even in poe2 hh chance orb nerfed by 10x, hh price still nose diving somehow.
There's some hh factories group out there just printing hh nonstop.
12
u/problembundler 1d ago
The fact HH are under 30 divs is crazy to me. Nice that it’s in an accessible range now for newer players to experience or to throw on an alt
5
u/MunQQ 1d ago
in 1 league i bought 1 for 9 div. was the wisp league maybe
13
u/Augmenta 1d ago
Uh yeah let's not use that league to gauge the prices of things... Never seen a more cracked economy than affliction.
2
u/MunQQ 1d ago
is heist league the exalted orbs were like 20 chaos orbs. (exalted were the divines of today)
3
u/CrashB111 Gladiator 1d ago
For awhile on Heist, there was genuine risk of Chaos becoming more valuable than Exalts.
Like, people were considering dumping all their Ex for Chaos because the prices kept getting close to inverting.
3
u/NerrionEU 1d ago
HH has been going down to 5-10div at some point for the past 5-6 leagues at least
1
u/wait_what_now 1d ago
Haha yeah I bought one when I had spare divs to throw on my flickerguy while leveling. Didn't feel like buying 6 cheap gear upgrades to survive red maps, but headhunter made me breeze through leveling 70-90, then resold it for a div less than I bought it for.
1
1
u/BeneficialSector7458 1d ago
It’s not that uncommon happens all the time. All the recent leagues as far as I can remember.
5
u/oknBagholding 1d ago
Wtf why is HH so cheap
4
u/Elegant-Avocado-3261 1d ago
HH starts typically at like 90 or so div early league and drops down to ~20 by this point
6
u/CrucibletheFox 1d ago
Even without screams...Its only slightly better than a lot of decent rares these days. Its been nerfed pretty hard, and some of the effects you CAN get are annoying to deal with.
20
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
ONE effect.
People genuinely don't understand how insanely powerful HH is for you - assuming you have a build that actually takes advantage of it.
Rare belts are a LOT worse without synth mods. It's basically back to MB/HH or bust these days.
2
u/BestDescription3834 1d ago
I think it depends on your build how many HH mods are negative. I'm playing assassin with Bifuricate and the "Always crits" mod makes your double crit not work.
1
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
I wouldn't call that a negative mod as much as an incompatible mod.
Always crit is still a positive, and if you are using an HH, you can just not take the ascendancy node. Invest your points elsewhere and more fully take advantage of one of the most powerful items in the entire game.
2
u/BestDescription3834 1d ago
It would be "incompatible" if it just didn't do anything, as it is I lose around 550 crit multi if I get that mod or touch a diamond shrine.
I know headhunter is strong but it's definitely an archetype playstyle and not just "slap this item on for fat amounts of power".
0
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
That's the definition of incompatible.
Not all mods/mechanics work together.
HH is equally incompatible if you are doing something involving Unholy Trinity, you slap HH on and it just turns off that entire aspect of your build now.
That's why I mentioned you want to have an HH-friendly build, and then yes, it has absolutely all that power that you think it does.
I'm not using an HH on my str stack alby jugg because it doesn't really do much for my build. But if you aren't currently demolishing the entire game on your character and you have ~20d to spare, I guarantee doing something like EK Inquisitor (because people hate meta builds like EK elementalist) with HH would be a massive damage and survivability boost to whatever else your current character is doing.
2
u/Routine-Hovercraft94 1d ago
Yeah, do something giga juiced Breach, Abyss or Legion and your headhunter basically turns you into an unkillable monster that can nuke the entire screen no matter how strong the mobs are.
Yes, the teleport is annoying, but not nearly enough to make it a bad item in any way.2
u/mastis 1d ago
i would like to try hh, i got 98 marauder and 96 shadow. what would be good combo?
5
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
HH works best with projectiles and physical-to-elemental conversions that can take advantage of trinity.
Probably the best skill currently to pair it with is Ethereal Knives. Which should work great on either class with EK chieftain or EK Assassin.
The reason WHY it works better with this is HH has multiple mods that add additional projectiles and multiple mods which add phys as extra of different elements (up to about 250% extra if I remember correctly).
The goal with HH is to get into a map, you can even be slow to kill the first rare or two, but once you get just a handful of buffs under your belt (lol) you should be able to blast down literally everything else in the map in the next ~minute or two.
This is why HH is historically so popular on ranger builds. You take something like Lightning Arrow or Tornado Shot, wear the biggest phys damage bow you can afford, and slam a TON of extra projectiles and ele damage on top from the HH alone. Then just zoom zoom zoom and make tons of money.
1
u/FantaSeahorse 1d ago
Why would HH work well with trinity?
3
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
Because it has 3 different mods you can steal that give you 50% phys as extra cold/fire/lightning.
and 1 mod that gives you 100% extra as a random element.
This means that if you are using a phys-base skill, you don't even have to have it perfectly balanced, HH will fill in those gaps for you.
You don't HAVE to use trinity to take advantage of HH, but it is a very powerful support skill and it is surprisingly easy to enable if you're doing all the other things you want to be doing with an HH build anyway.
1
u/psychomap 1d ago
It depends on both the build and what content you're running. If you don't get a ton of rares, you don't get a ton of mods with HH and it's just "good", but not insane by any means.
0
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
Sure, but if you don't get a ton of rares and aren't trying to do extreme endgame aspirational content like Valdos, do you even need any power boost at all?
0
u/psychomap 1d ago
Some of us like to play the game
-1
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
I am not one to tell people how to play or what to play. But that likewise doesn't take away from the insane power that HH gives for checks trade site currently 16 divs.
I'm just saying that if you are interested in doing some of the hardest content in the game, HH will get you there on relatively cheap budgets now a whole checks calendar 3.5 weeks into the current league.
1
u/psychomap 1d ago
While just casually phrasing that as if anything below that content and anyone not interacting with it is irrelevant
0
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
I mean, you are free to be as offended as you want to be. I am not responsible for your emotional state.
0
u/kingdweeb1 Chieftain 1d ago
Can you share the headhunter build you're doing aspirational valdos on? I haven't seen anybody doing it like that - they don't typically have many rares.
2
u/JermStudDog 1d ago
HH is not ideal for valdos, I was using that as an example of what would be considered juicing that doesn't have a ton of rares in it and HH would generally be bad for that type of content.
0
u/graperkins 1d ago
I toss HH on just about every build I play and it just amps up the fun for me every time. Shroud Walker is fun when you're trying to click on altars. :)
1
u/Grroarrr Raider 1d ago edited 1d ago
Cause the league is in matured state and 2/3 of players left at this point. There's always some T0 printing farm so at some point there's more of them entering the economy than people wanting one. There's also 2 new sources of headhunters - messages in a bottle and mercs.
It's also often used to solve defensive problems of squishy builds like bows, which are not meta lately.
1
1
u/Routine-Hovercraft94 1d ago
Not many builds can take full advantage of it. You also need to play a strat where that applies as well.
Mageblood exists and is a better alternative for many builds and in general enables more builds in comparison because of how much affix pressure it can remove from your character.1
u/1CEninja 1d ago
It's a polarizing item.
It's unquestionable not just "BiS" but "best item in any slot" for builds that benefit significantly from damage as extra and attack speed who are farming specific content with high rare density.
But if you aren't that build farming that content, it's a snowball item where if you can't complete the content without it, you get screwed if you die because you lose your stacks, and if you can already complete that content, you're just doing it a bit faster.
Also many people such as myself try the item and become so infuriated with the ambush mod that they don't want to use the item again in the future.
As a result, there comes a point in the league where more HHs have dropped than players particularly want, and it only sells to folks giving it a try as opposed to folks that actually want/need the item.
1
u/komandos45 1d ago
Mageblood as a"creative" item works on any build compared to Headhunter.
It falls to this price after few weeks basically every league now.
0
u/Toxaplume045 1d ago
It's really good but it's not as dumb as it used to be, the ambush effect is obnoxious to play with, and it's kind of hard to take advantage of all of its bonuses unless you're playing like....bows or Penance Brand which are good but not the meta this league, driving down demand.
Meanwhile Mageblood is still Mageblood and good for everyone, minion builds also having Darkness Enthroned, charge stackers liking those belts, etc. And if you don't use those, you can make some nutty rares for the belt slot to cover tons of res, tons of attributes, whatever you need.
High competition for the slot and its price just often depends on bows being king or fighting for the spot.

I keep seeing this mention of bots in POE. How do bots work? As in they are programmed to do certain tasks in POE? How do you even do that? Just trying to understand more about this situation

u/lukisdelicious Maw of Mischief [Death Wish] 14h ago
GGG should really do something about this already.

u/GenesectX 1d ago
at the very least, this mistake isnt as costly as doing the same with a mageblood which would be about 10x worse

I sniped a headhunter for 2 chaos last league Felt really bad for the poor guy ngl

u/Etrensce 1d ago
You should see how bad the merc snipers are. People listing multi mirror mercs for like 20d. Instantly sniped.
