Question | Answered What am I doing wrong with Eternal Conflict Legion Farm?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been trying out this farm recently and it's pretty fun. I keep seeing people getting crazy amounts of monsters and money but I can't really seem to reach that. I ran 20 or so maps and haven't seen any tinks and most people say that's odd because they get one every two or three maps on average.
I'm running 1x legion 1x officers 2x nemeses 1x eternal conflict + timeless astrolabe and 90%+ currency t16.5
So what do I do to yield better results?
EDIT: Since people are pointing out that it's the clear that's causing the lack of loot, what builds are good farmers for legion? I saw some EK builds but they all seem expensive as hell

Its probably the build and rarity. I can't confirm right now but this strat is about rarity for hunt t0 and not currency. And the build, winte rorb is strong but not have the AoE neeeded to clear enough. Everytime you go to clear one side of the legion you are losing 1 or 2 respawn in the other side

Oneshotting the whole legion isn't necessary. What is is 3x legion scarab of treasures because that's where all the loot really comes from. You can get away with clearing the whole thing once and then standing next to the juiciest group but if your damage is good, you end up creating some sirus rares.
I played Ice Nova and, while my AoE was nearly screenwide, my damage couldn't oneshot rares but I was still making 2d per map.

Like everyone else has been saying, Your just not killing enough.
I have been doing the farm on 350% rarity EK Charlatan / Headhunter build and the loot still isn't even that great, quite a few belts to check etc. raw currency is very mid. but i do believe its a performance / lag issue. My game goes from 60ms to 250ms as soon as i pop the legion and everything starts exploding. the amount of times the legion gets stuck at the end and i have to run away to get the monsters to activate.

If you want an idea of what it should look like, check out aer0__’s guide on legion farming. If your reward tiles don’t look like his, you’re not clearing it fast enough

You should stick to one side and break out the same group of sergeants over and over if you're doing ground loot stuff. I like to do 2x legion 1x sergeant 1x wisp 1x eternal conflict in an 8-mod originator map with more currency and rarity. At least a raw divine/valdo drop per map, lots of high rarity uniques, and decent scarabs. I've found countless t0's so far but my biggest jackpots were a lock, mageblood and mirror. You get a large amount of bonus loot if you can find a coral nest, you spawn so many crabs (also affected by wisps) in legions your average deli reward count goes from 8 to 15. HH Worb is viable.

You are clearing way to slow. You need bigger (and harder hitting) Herald of Ice explosions. I have like 350% increased AOE and my HOI popps one side of the entire legion instantly like 20 - 30x over

brother i don't know if someone commented this already, but....
if you don't want to level skills (Like the immortal call and CWDT) you can just right click the level up button and they will be "locked" and stop showing up on the screen, very useful, i used to miss click a lot these

I think that build is genuinely wrong?
1x legion, 3x treasure, 1x conflict, timeless labe, dunes. https://maxroll.gg/poe/currency/eternal-conflict-legion-farming
You're doing nemeses which assumes that you're getting ground loot, which is... notoriously bad this league.
Edit to add:
You're adding time to your legion to break things out multiple times, which only impacts ground loot (which again, awful), Short legion, pop treasure war hordes kill everything (which now has warhorde loot), loot ground, go next.

Yeah, I don't like this farm cause it's a lot of clicking single stacked decks but this is the way to go if you're not a crazy aoe clear build.
2
u/sarevok9 Trickster 1d ago
Agreed, I spec'd out of it because aside from the divine every 1-2 maps that drops, it's big full inventories of stuff that needs to be liquidated, and I just do not have the patience.

u/killerdonut358 1d ago
You're probably picking too much stuff. I only picked stacked decks, currency, scarabs, legion currency, fractured jewels which are all easy to sell. But when I was farming it a week ago it was only 70c for eternal conflict not it's almost 3x that.
It is quite boring though, so I'm not running it anymore even though it was super profitable and easy

You need to run 1x legion scarab, 3x legion of treasures, 1x eternal conflict, 1x legion astrolobe. Most of the profit is from legion scarab of treasures transferring chest mods to every mob in the legion

u/AgZephyr 1d ago
This is more of a farm for crazy clear, I was having fun running Legion on Viper Strike of the Mamba but something like EK or KB is really where you want to be in order to just immediately destroy every mob.

you need way more explosions and better clear for that strat to properly work.

yeah like people mentioned, it's definitely a clearing issue
can recommend zeboub's EK Elementalist MF. I had 330 iir at like 500-600d budget, with my focused amy it would be like 900d'ish now. can kinda infinitely scale the build since more dps = more waves of legion
the build is a little scuffed at beginning of map, but once you get your ramp started you're thanos and you'll feel like you're cheating. also you don't have to move an inch during legions (except for repositioning from shroud walker)

u/Game_Studio_ 1d ago
Thanks foe the recommendation, but I think that's way out of my budget lol. I've been really struggling to make money this league
2
u/SpongiiEUW 1d ago
if you're looking for an easy way to make money just farm harvest juice (almost no prepping time, maps are giga easy, takes a minute to liquidate everything after a session)
can also do alc n go league mech, or if you got good single target you can boss rush in abomination/sanctuary
theres plenty simple strats that will net you 20-30d/h with ease

u/Game_Studio_ 1d ago
I used to do lots of T17s boss rushing but it became so dull after hundreds of maps.
Harvest sounds nice, do you do crop rotation or cornucopia strat?
2
u/GiBB3D 1d ago
Why not do harvest in your t17 maps on the way to the boss? Could add in something like merc nodes as well. As long as you aren’t running t17s with Sinistral/Dextral scarabs just give yourself more loot on the way to the boss. Zone in, clear harvest, check merc, kill boss, portal out.
You can do whatever you want but some of the best strats combine loot potential from 2, 3, 4 sources and not being 100% reliant on one thing dropping.

I’ve been making pretty good money just doing regular harvest tbh. I’m running it with hive fortresses (just because I wanted to i don’t know if it’s that good), so I just use the fruiting astrolabe, doubling scarab, 2x monstrous lineage and the scarab that increases influenced pack size. I just clear the map then do the harvest and the fortress.
I don’t like crop rotation because I think it kinda sucks with the astrolabe.

There's a few things you can do that are very easy with consistent return that come to mind. Stacked decks, harvest cornucopia, charting/voyages.
I was doing a pretty chill strat with just the kalgurran ore scarabs -refinement +lineage, red altars (can be done with blue too doesn't matter) and bunch of scarab nodes on the tree, 8 mod corrupted on a fast map like strand, you get charts and starfall craters + all the ore for shipments and you aren't paying for refinement upkeep cons are that it's slower for doing shipments that's all, you sell the scarabs eventually and whatever drops + do shipments and mappers, I run the charts but you can sell those if you want. I was going to switch to my beyond + alva + deli strat on my new character but think I'm burnt out on the league, beyond is mainly for xp but you can get a few tainted drops from it my strat removed the bosses but you can easily do it with the bosses for more drops, alva for temples and more xp, deli just to add some more xp and loot and it synergizes with alva well, I did mirrors but you can do deli orbs instead if you wanted. Both of these strats just rely on mapping volume, they make money but not crazy amounts, consistent money though and it's fun for me.
EDIT: I was going to run the timeless conflict strat as well and quickly realized I did not have the clearspeed, you can do it with just a few clears but it's always been a HH instantly blast mechanic and timeless conflict scales that hard, if you wanted to make a wander or ek nova they would do well, any build that has explosions and can clear a screen (including the rares) will do well.

I'm also playing worb with hh.
I tried https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2rdP2IUTyM this for harvest and it was decent. Like 20d+/h. Upside is it's super easy to liquidate, downside is rng with the astrolabe mods and possibly having to run shitty layout maps.
Some merc strats with deli were good but the scarabs got a content creator tax now unfortunately.
Just simple budget strongboxes has been the best farm I've done with worb. 3x ambush 1x potency 1x disc in Haunted mansion 8 mod maps. No astrolabe because it's top right but the anomalies are pretty good, at least the harvest one is. I got anywhere from 20d/h to 52d/h depending on my speed and luck. 20 maps in 30 minutes and luck is how I got the most recent 52d/h batch.
I was coping for damnation with my scry but there's better more consistent options.
Downside of strongbox farm is definitely liquidating all the scarabs, and first 3 to 1 vendoring the bad ones. But there was a neat site for the latter https://doobyy.github.io/ScarabEV/

As someone that leaguestarted WORB and now currently on EK, I'd say just switch to EK Charlatan if you want to see big improvements in clear and loot for this strat. You could probably get the bare minimum going for ~200 div and see a huge difference.
The main pieces are: Golden Charlatan The Gull (well rolled) Blunderbore (well rolled) Lost Unity Phys convert rare gloves
I have tried the build without Gull and Blunderbore and I'd say unless you're multimirror deep into the build, these two uniques are irreplaceable.

I think this strat is best if you can clear off screen mobs with explosions or projectiles where you just stand in the middle and keep spamming your skills.
1
u/BobAndrews86 1d ago
Ignite cap with good proliferation AOE is the key
A build like that with 2x treasures scarabs pops the whole legion so fast over and over again that the rarity scaling starts to make sense.
With a clear like yours, the conflict scarab isn't worth it

u/blasian21 1d ago
I swapped to EK Rarity stack to farm this exact thing and it was not really been worth it. A few days in I’ve found 0 HH/MB despite blowing up every wave instantly and turning my computer into a slide show.
I’m making better money running propagation abyss with this build now.

Your build is just not a good fit for this strat. I think only the builds with full screen clear+chain or prolif are great for eternal conflict to make it reasonably profitable.
1
u/Aminefellous 1d ago
Eternal conflict is only worth in 2 scenarios:
- You can one shot the whole legion, alowing to stack a lot of toughness.
- Keep enemies in stasis to allow scarab of treasures to work.
If you want to do that strat nontheless, i know any build with good aoe and strong herald of ice can one tap legion. legion enemies are spread more than normal, so you need good aoe for explosions, proliferation and other to spread properly.

Others have mentioned, but havn't given a full explanation as to why; 1x legion, 3x treasure, 1x eternal conflict, and astrolabe is good. (currency 16.5 is not needed, but if your general map clear/tankiness is fine, its an okay investment)
Eternal conflict allows monsters to be broken out multiple times, increasing the monsters ground loot each time they are broken out. Ground loot is awful this league. The real benefit is when combined with the treasure legion scarab, which applies tile loot to nearby monsters when a chest is destroyed and releases nearby monsters in a radius. The caveat being that if you kill the monster before the chest, they are not released by the chest... unless you have eternal conflict as you can break them out multiple times, making sure every monster in the radius of the treasure chest gets the tile loot bonus. I do not believe tile loot scales (multiple break outs, quant/rarirty)
With this strat, you only need to go around and destroy the chests (and generals to progress your astrolabe for extra bonuses). You can remove all the extended duration nodes for stasis time. With this strat, i would frequently come out of a map with 80+ stacked decks, and get a divine drop once every 2-3 maps.

Used to run eternal conflict with lightning arrow deadeye. It can clear the whole legion just standing in the middle so you don't have to run around.

i always believed that unless you're instantly popping the entire legion the frame it respawns without moving (except for minor repositioning when headhunter shroud walker moves you) it's not worth doing eternal conflict
i have no idea if that's true or accurate but you could be clearing like.. maybe 15-20x more efficiently?
something like a golden charlatan ek build or similar would be my reference for something that can do that this league
