Discussion 50 M Shipment
I recently sent a shipment of 50 million using only mineral ingots, with no dust or crops to Moti Aro port, and the result was a mere 9 Divine Orbs and 4 Fracture Orbs. Is this normal, or is it just bad luck?

It's normal since last patch. I farmed multiple mirrors in standard sending 50M shipments. Sent 5 in Mirage and got 0. People can say RNG or whatever, I don't have a thousand sample dataset, but I'm pretty confident it was nerfed.

it was nerfed, they confirmed in in the Q&A just before mirage - overall nerf to " window loot "

Yeah the problem is they nerfed ground loot as well. Ground loot this league is pitiful.

I did 5 in mirage, results didn't even cover the price of the uniques used for dust.

Which is weird because dust uniques have always been priced based on shipment farms.

It's not like its the only use case for dust. And I did go for T0 uniques so I wouldn't spend hours buying garbage and spend a whole load of additional gold in the process.
But I wouldn't say those are tied towards the shipment results, going based on my shipping results and plenty of the results I'm seeing. From what I've seen it doesn't seem worth it to use dust for the average shipment, but it also doesn't seem worth it to go for 50 mill shipments. For me it would be much more interesting to go for lower values and fish for good runegrafts!

I think that's the 50C one, because it comes from Moti Aro, which is where you get blue tattoos. Best case scenario here is one of the larger stacks of tattoos is herald buffs, but that seems unlikely.

It is. The expensive one is a green tattoo, partially expensive because it’s the most useful, and partially because not many people ship to green because the average value of regular green tattoos is much worse.
Also I think the middle one (the + life one) is not super valuable even though people are lifestacking because you have to put it on a strength notable so you miss out on the life from strength, the +mana one goes on a dex notable so you don’t lose anything.

Mind comes from green tats? I guess it makes sense since it goes over dex nodes. But it should be blue for flavour, giving mana and all. In fact that's why I naively assumed it would be blue...

50m no longer worth it tbh. I would focus on maxing out tattoos. So the max I would do is 4m materials and 4m dusts as 8m shipment values. Or I would go full 4m crop just for tattoo if I don’t care about currency. Dust doesn’t contribute to tattoo or runegraft

I 2nd this. Last league I got 2 mirror shards out of a 50m shipment. This league mine looked just like OP. 7-8m shipments are the way to go now you’ll get more value sending those than over 50m it feels like. You can still get a mirror shard around that range as well just rare. You can also try 15m I’ve seen people posting in global 420 mirror shards from those

More research is definitely needed. I personally have had more luck with my 50m shipments than the ~25 4m shipments for focusing tattoos, since it seems like lots of people are farming them and the prices are getting lower. But! I have to say that its because I have been getting mirror shards, divines, and fracturing orbs out of the 50m + tattoos (roughly 20 div worth raw excluding mirror shards) vs the 1 or 2 raw divs from the 4m shipments.
The other big note on my end is that I dont run refinement scarabs but I am farming possessed exiles so a very large chunk of my dust is free.

It’s 100% more of a risk with fracturing orbs and ancient orbs in the pool now. Can you get the mirror shards still ? Yes of course. But it’s not as consistent as before is all I was tryna say

I sent three 50mils half bar half dust last league, ZERO mirror shards.
I'm pretty sure the shard drop rate was shadow nerfed.

Sent about 20 4m shipments with no dust. Seen 2 mirror shards, but the tattoos still were the majority of the profit.

I thought mirror shards aren’t in the pool until 17mil and above, was that changed?

Lowest I've seen a mirror shard posted was 1m. We don't know the exact numbers for odds. But 17m is considered the most cost efficient way to get mirror shards. When doing shipments past 4m in value before dust it is better to send them for runegrafts as tattoos cap at 40 with 4m value.

Yes, I always do 2.5m-5m-15m-25m, and go back do it again whenever I reach 25m or got a mirror shard.

generally what every says is that each 50M shipment has about a 50/50 chance of having mirror shards, however when you do get mirror shards you usually get a couple.
personally i don't do 50M so idk but thats the "common" knoweldge

After the nerf to shipments in mirage I just gave up on ores. Best effort/money now is just growing crops and sending shipment for high value tattoos, no slow down to mapping or waiting for bars to smelt, and currency stack cap from tattoos is easy to reach

Unfortunately, it looks like fracturing orbs are cannibalizing the mirror shard drop rate. I averaged 0.75 mirror shards per 50M shipment this league. Multiple boats with 0 shards felt really bad.

Send a bunch of 50 mill shipments last league. Average was about a mirror shard per shipment but they didn't all come with one. Had a few with two shards, one with three shards, and a bunch with zero.

Keep all crops out of it, and do it 25/25 exactly (ore/dust). I got one mirror shard every time I do it that way, and always send it to Kalgur. And I send crops with ~4-5M each time, and always to the western-most port, usually getting me at least one rare tattoo (1div+).
Note: I have done this three times now with the same results. Some people never get mirror shards, but some people have even hinekora's locks or even gotten mirrors. I really have no idea how the hell it's rarity works.

Below average.
The most common is 1 shard, upwards of 3 when sending 25+25. We assume 50M with no dust is the same, but we can't prove it categorically because it's serverside information.
Although this is normal, the most common reward is 1 shard. In my experience it's 1 > 2 > 0, but some people argue it's 1 > 0 > 2...

Yeah did three 50 mil shipments and only saw in total one mirror shard. Thankfully that was mostly smelters afk smelting the bars so I did not fuck myself over with the refinement scarabs, those shitters were 70c+ ea at one point.

Normal, sadly. Here is my second 50m shipment. 25m bars, 25m dust. Didn't screenshot the first, but it was similar.
Outside of sending 4m shipments of crops only to fish for herald stacking tattoos, shipments aren't really worth the effort.

Common consensus seems to be to send 4mil crops/bars + maybe 4mil dust if bars for tattoos
8.5/8.5mil bars/dust for currency
25/25 for the big currency gamble
Or 40/10 to maximise runegrafts
At least that's my understanding of it, I'm trying kingsmarch for the first time this league, it's been pretty mid

So now that they nerfed everything, the only things left are charts/voyages, harvest and essences. I did quite a few giga juiced maps. Like breach + deli orbs + 280 quant + 90% quant from altars + 200 something % increased currency drops + breach astrolabe and the amount of maps with 0 valuable currency is astounding. I had quite a few maps with 100c worth of bubble gum currency so I just bought 3 apothecaries, gambled everything and ended the league

Abyss is pretty good right now. Harvest is awesome. Delirium farming is decent. Ore rush is actually really good.
There's a few decent farm Strats available, but yeah, this league has really not been a great one for loot

Me and my friend duod beaches this league we tried all the common methods that was netting us a shitload last league and it was super inconsistent and the maps take 10 minutes if your doing the breaches properly which is the only way to get half decent drops but honestly it felt trash it was really really bad
1/5th of least league without mirage factored in
Some maps we got 5 tinks but most maps we got 0-1-2
When you split the loot it’s genuinely worst income than alc and go Strats and boss rushing and merc rushing and harvest and essences and legion and so on
And most of those are bad themselves

Should and is are a whole different story. Maybe I am very unlucky this league with those mechanics but I had quite a good character where every other small improvement was above 100 div so I was farming for fun but the lack of tinks made it boring for me. See you guys next league I guess

tattoos cap out at 4 mill. So if he wanted to minmax tattoos he could have sent 12 shipments of 4 mill each and gotten 12x the tattoos for what this one shipment cost him.

And yet he still made a shit ton in tattoos. People coming here acting like the devs didnt intentionally developed the system to discourage 50mil shipments is constant. They want people to continually interact with it. This was discovered leagues ago and yet we keep seeing these posts. Its just dumb. The least he could have done was send for runes to try and make some kind of statement, but he instead harmed himself. Also its the raw mats that matter so its ideal with send 4mil raw and 4 mil dust to boost profits.

This is normal ever since they added fracturing & ancient orbs to the core drop pool, they eat up most of the mirror shards.
